How does Google view a change in the frequency of posting articles? I've got a new site only a few months old, I've been posting a 1k word article weekly. As we're approaching summer my niche is going to become more active and I'm thinking about increasing to 3 articles a week but then dropping back down in the winter months. I'm concerned this will look unusual in Googles eyes, what are your thoughts?

Yes, for Google this is strange, but also good since you are not a bot, and I think there is no need to worry about everything.

just make sure you don't write articles that end up competing with each other for a particular keyword. dont have 5 articles on best red apples.

If your article has unique content (that is what Google likes most) than you have nothing to worry about I think. If you are generating new, relevant and useful content that should help you and if your niche is becoming more active that would appear quite logical that your articles become more frequent.

It's the last thing you should think. All you need is keep posting quality content often. Don't mind the time gap, the more random it is, the better.
