Change hosting country, will it affect my rankings?

Not sure about your case, but I recently changed my hosting and actually my rankings improved. My hosting was in US, I changed it to NL with a different company and saw improvement in my SERPs. Hope that helps

Changing web hosts won't affect your rankings, unless the migration process is done improperly incurring extended downtime. There's also that new addition of how Google values site load-times and calculates that into their SERPS, so an overloaded host would most likely equate to a slow site.

There are 2 things that come in mind that will be affected distance and loading speed.

If your site targets US and you migrate your site to some hosting company in japan it will increase the distance between each point a user in US will go by to reach your site and also increasing the page loading time.

If you migrate it to a host within US or UK that have good connectivity and access to US then you will decrease the above mentioned which will load your site faster and will provide better accessibility to your users.

You could also consider using CDN for most of your content to lessen that from your hosting

Reason for my hosting change is speed and downtime. New hosting is way more better as far I can say with test site. It have good connection to usa too so I think speed is not a problem. I am using cloudflare most of my sites so distance should not a problem anyway.
If I remember I will post here what happens :) I will wait couple of weeks after changing and then look if it affected anyway.

Keep us updated!
I've been wondering about the exact same thing!

Just make sure you move everything first (without canceling your current hosting until u complete the move) and set up all the domains before switching the DNS so you can have the least amount of downtime as possible.

If you can reach the domains with a temporary url that did be great too so u can make sure it is all good prior to moving.

Changing hosts from EU to US and vice-versa will not affect your rankings, as long as we're talking about the same quality (i.e. uptime %). Here are two sites that you can use to see how fast your website loads from a specific location. The first one actually shows a report for 50 or so locations, which is pretty nice.

Best of luck!

I would say that from your current location if u move to UK your rank will either improve or stay the same.
