Change adsense from personal to business?

I've heard that there's two options.
1. Start a new adsense in your business name (this means you have to reapply for the partner program)
2. Simply just change your bank details on your personal adsense to your business bank account

The first option seems risky, as there is a chance of YT not accepting you in the partner program again. But will the second option cause any legal problems in terms of tax?
Please let me know if you've had any experience with this, as YT doesn't make this very easy. Very much appreciated!

It's about the creation of the AdSense account, not about the bank account. So, whether you use a business bank or not, your Adsense account will remain personal.

If you selected personal and gave your personal name, you can use that account as a personal account, and it will only pay to a bank account in your name.

If you have created a business account for AdSense, you can use it only as your business account. It will pay any account on your name or your business name.

In this case, you should go with the first option if you need a business account. And you should still double-check, but everyone can have one personal and one business account. (maybe even multiple business accounts, as you can own multiple businesses).

If the channel is in good standing, there is no issue with approach 1 also. They will approve again surely.

Thank you. Any idea how long it will take to approve it again?

I went through this change last summer when I couldn't access my personal AdSense account since it was stuck in a hacked channel or a lost channel that I no longer had access to, so that forced me to start a business account and buy an LLC in my state.

I've been using the same bank account that was in my previous AdSense account and it has not been in trouble ever since when I used it in the business account. I don't think the bank account matters but the overall type of account does. You are allowed to have 1 personal and 1 business account. You can probably have multiple business accounts since they're not under your name but make sure you have registered for all of the necessary things that are associated with your business to keep it from tracing back to your main business account.

Thanks a ton for the long answer! So thats's 30 days without making money? When I've applied previously for monetization it's taken 48-72 hours

It can be done in less than 24 hours. You should focus on content, if it is good, all other problems will vanish.

You're welcome, my friend. Yes, it will be 30 days without making money but you can still post content during that period of time while you're waiting.

The actual review process will only take 48-72 hours maybe even 24 hours but the time to wait after you lose monetization is 30 days. A channel of mines finally can get reviewed today here on the 4th after being demonetized on January 5th, 2023.

If your channel had never been monetized or it has already passed the 30 days, you will only have to wait 24-72 hours to get reviewed.

You can apply again for adsense with new details. They will approve for sure.

Has anyone done this and know if Adsense approves the new bank account right away? I basically want this months payment to go to another bank account.

Hello — I want to start a YouTube channel business. I want to set up a UK-based company for each of my channels because my channels fall into a fair-use gray area. I haven’t had many problems so far, but my main issue is that some time ago YouTube deleted one of my channels without reason and, citing the circumvention policy, also deleted all my other channels without explanation. After many appeals, about a year later I was able to get my channel back and recover the other channels — I have proof of all this. So my question is: if YouTube deletes one of my channels while the others remain unaffected, will creating a UK company for each channel protect my other channels because they are all diffrent entities under UK law? I want information on this.
