Chances Of This Going Wrong?

Im creating a product review site using an EMD domain. The only EMD available for this was previously owned by another affiliate marketer. As far as I can tell -- using MOZ, Ahrefs, and historic majestic -- it never had any links built to it.

Using screenshots and archive it appeared to be a shitty microniche site with spun content -- and I dont see any screen captures of anything else like viagra/spam/hacked by:/etc.

Already picked it up and built the site but just wondering what problems could arise for google not ranking this? Like if its typically a bad idea to revive old sites that had spun content by a bad aff marketer -- despite the fact it appears to have no links.

What I'm wondering is if the site was previously penalised and if it was, how long ago it was penalised. If it wasn't and the affiliate marketer was just terrible at their job, then you shouldn't have a problem with the domain.
