I see a lot of questions about dominating Google Maps in this forum, I"m answering them here. Any other questions post them for me and I'll answer!

1. Can I use my own address to generate leads?

ANSWER: Yes, absolutely, you just need to receive the pin from google and you'll be live on the map. If you live in a residential area make sure to check the box to hide your address, its a requirement from google.

2. Where can I sell the leads once I start generating them from google maps?

ANSWER: call up any business owner and tell them you're going to send them some free exclusive leads to their phone from google maps. Program a whisper so it whispers that the lead is from you when they pick up the phone. Then call back a week later and ask for a long term relationship with them!

3. Whats the best Google maps rank checker?

Proranktracker is good for automated google maps checking. For checking manually, use the brightlocal tool here: https://www.brightlocal.com/local-search-results-checker/ You'll need to enter your chosen location (don't put the location in the search box, put it in the "location" box. Might seem obvious, but people don't usually search with a cityname or zip code in google maps, they just type the keyword and let google maps figure out where they are).

4. How can I rank higher for Google maps, whats the formula?

ANSWER: The big 4: 1) website content 2) backlinks 3) citations 4) reviews. Beat everyone else in those 4 areas and you'll usually outrank them.

NO we don't use google pay per call, we just setup real agreements with real business owners. The bigger the business the more states you can dominate under the same client.

Haven't seen any affect of the recent changes on our business at all

we use a custom programmed solution and a custom phone server at our scale, but you can do a whisper with most providers like callfire etc.. you can also have a dev make it for you using twilio

So cool that you showed up on here tonight of all nights as I am working on a simple way to get a local waterproofing company's owners attention before I interview for a sales position next week by sending him a few leads before I even go to the interview.

My plan is simply to do a craigslist ad to get a few leads to send his way because that is how I have (mostly) done this and this company does not have Cl ads but they do have a pretty good ranking on google, organic and ad words, their listing and website is done pretty well so they obviously have some professional service helping them as I have met the owner and he knows his biz, mold removal, mudjacking, water proofing, foundation repair etc and how to sell those services and that is it.

What do you think I could do for cheap (CL ad 5 bucks) to get some leads his way as this isn't a busy time for this industry.

What would YOU do Chad?

I would spend $50 on google ads, to a quick one pager with YOUR phone number on it that forwards to his number and is programmed with a whisper so he knows the leads are coming from you. Quickest.

I actually have a $100 google adwords coupon that I just activated so I am ready to hit this.

With only that much in ad spend, what is the best way to ensure that I can get some good leads that are more likely to be a paying client for this company?

Can you tell me some callfire-type services with a good free trial? (I am on a super strict budget)

Just make sure the PHONE NUMBER is in the ad, you want people to call, not click. Google lets you automatically display the phone too as part of the ad

A few questions for ya:

1.) To do this at scale, how would you recommend us getting around the postcard / pin verification problem if we want to scale?

2.) Also how long does it realistically take for a maps listing to hit the 1st rank once the listing goes live?
