Could be the next LUNA fiasco :/As we all know by now that Celsius has halted the withdrawals, luckily I took out 90% of my funds before this. But what do you think will be the outcome, is this a temporary freeze? will they be able to recover? Can we get our funds back?
Let's hope it doesn't end up that way because they have Billions in Bitcoin which will be catastrophic for the whole market.Could be the next LUNA fiasco :/
These "projects" never care about their clients
I hope they unfreeze funds because I still have 4 figure funds with them. But luckily took out 90% of my portfolio already. Yes, they can't be compared with Luna, they have literally Billions in BTC and are considered one of the biggest whales in the industry even surpassing Micro Strategy. You are right after this no one would like to keep their funds there even if they offer 30% APRCelsius Network is a USA based company, compliant with SEC, & is even backed by venture capital.
Luna-- created by Terra Labs a decentralized ecosystem in compliance with no one, backed by nothing, & included a algorithmic stable coin backed by nothing.
Yes Celsius does partake in defi to generate yields for users as one of its ways of earning profit but there is essentially no comparison between the 2. One was a defi ecosystem & the other is essentially a centralized wallet for staking or in comparison to a crypto bank account (even though they didnt advertise as that)
Halting all transactions was definitely a really bad look & also contradicts all of their entire marketing campaigns based around "your funds are safe and access your funds anytime"
Opinion: They will enable transactions again, but the future of the company is most likely toast.
When someone is giving you too much you should be careful. The gave 30%apr as I know. Bad time for crypto, btc will drop to 12k maybe.
Maybe that's how we get back to $9k BTCLet's hope it doesn't end up that way because they have Billions in Bitcoin which will be catastrophic for the whole market.
i think celsius is a company registered in the USA, so they kinda do, in the way companies do. but yeah, if they get liquidated out of their position, its going to be a whole show and folks are going to get fucked even harder. 1st worlders may have some legal options since it's a company, but LatinoAmericans with their grand live savings of 1500usd are going to pound sand. These "projects" never care about their clients

nah, mom said it's my turn to use the computerIs that you, @Willyfish ?
its less about the number and more about resources and channels, I think. even if someone from Argentina lost 40.000usd on this, they wouldn't be able to do anything about it and would have to submit to whatever celsius decides, if anything. waging international legal war on these shitty countries is just not feasible. if you have 40k in crypto around here, you almost certainly have it undeclared. and that's without taking into account the idiomatic barrier.Yeah, maybe people won't fight for $1500 but americans will do
Did they gave any reason before this change or just instant block ?I hope they unfreeze funds because I still have 4 figure funds with them. But luckily took out 90% of my portfolio already. Instant, people already noticed they transferred huge amounts from their wallets to FTX exchange.Did they gave any reason before this change or just instant block ?
What is the recent update ? Did you for your remaining 10℅ ?Instant, people already noticed they transferred huge amounts from their wallets to FTX exchange.
Unless the dust settles down, they will not be resuming withdrawals. Bitcoin has to get stable and go higher so it can avoid liquidation. Then only they will resume back the withdrawls. What is the recent update ? Did you for your remaining 10℅ ?
