I own the domain name ScottMcCreeryRumors.com For those who do not know, that's the current American Idol winner. Now is it legal to make a rumor blog on him, or is that trademark infringement?
I ran a trademark check on the name using the above domain, and no results were returned. However, if you publish false information which could cause him harm, you could be sued for libel as far as I know.
In any event, I highly doubt it will escalate to that stage, but it's best that you have some idea in mind of the the potential consequences of doing what you're about to do, as ignorance isn't going to stand.
I hope that helps!

These things can get messy so I always staid away of brand names. I would probably do a membership site for fans or a community blog that would allow member posts. This way you would not be liable or it would be harder to sue you directly. If it goes so far they will for sure but it's the best I can think right now.
I think you should not give fake or rumor information there because that may bring you ban and If you give authentic information with some new feature then it will be better.
I think if won't be having the right information about the celeb then there is no need having the domain because if you post anything that can cause harm to the celeb you might be in trouble.
