Cease & desist email from Snapchat

I did a little bit of research and the email is legit. The infos I used when I registred the domain are fake so should I give a fuck? The website is an old fake hacks project who still produces some hundreds every month. Free money is free money after all.

I'd delete if that info I used when registering domain/vps or any hosting could traceback to me.
If it wasn't completely anonymous, I'd just delete and stay off the risk of getting sued.

Some competitor might fake the sender address to trick you into deleting your site, try contact them directly in their official email to check if the request is legit, if yes, then you better delete the site, fake info won't protect you that much, they can trackback your affiliate network and check with them, or they can contact the hosting/registrar to get your ip . Good luck.

Move to an offshore DMCA hosting platform, and continue. Thing is they might send a notification to google too, so if you have organic traffic, you would be goosed.

Also just put "not associated with snapchat" somewhere on your website for extra compliance

But what if it was not actually snapchat and he emails snapchat asking; then hes on snaps radar lol

It's very easy to spot a fake by checking the WHOIS of the domain from which the email came from. I've recently received a C&D order from Instagram with the email domain @mm-instagram.com. Through WHOIS you can easily tell it's legit.

Thanks for all the replies guys, didn't expected that many. As I said in the OP, the domain infos are fake and I have a dedicated server from a friend. Even if godaddy give them my IP they can't trace my exact location without contacting the ISP and I highly doubt that's gonna happen. I'll play it safe tho, I'll contact them saying I deleted the page,delete that page temporarily and upload it back after few days with "not associated with snapchat" message.

I think you should not reply them saying " Yes I have deleted" if u want to start it again on same address. delete it without contacting them
