i tried to search in BHW on how to set up catchall emails using own domain.
Posts mainly are about setting up with gmail & cloudflare, or buy from vendors.
I dont want to use gmail as i already have many gmail accts and will have trouble gettng verified.

Seems that nobody talks about setting catchall emails in cpanel of your website hosting co.
What is the reason?

Anyway, how can i set u catchall emails accts in cpanel?

This is probably the easiest, which is why people don't talk about it.

In cPanel, under "Email' find "Default address"

In the page that opens, select your domain and click the radio button next to "Forward to email address"

Enter the email you want all incoming emails to [email protected] to be sent to.

Click "Change"

//

You're done.

Thanks.

I asked my hosting co on how to create catchall emails acct.
They said:
catchall emails will negatively impacting server performance due to dictionary attacks, where attackers try thousands or even millions of e-mail address combinations in a brute-force attempt to gain access. For these reasons, we usually recommend setting up e-mail forwarders instead of a catch-all address.

Is this the reason why your guys who use SEO tools (like Rankerx, GSA), don't use self-host domain catchall emails?

Can setting up emails forwarders work for Rankerx/GSA?

Thanks.

What your host said is true to some extent, mainly because when setting up a catch-all you're asking the server to process every single email that hits the server - even the address does not exist.

But it's not usually that big of an issue.

If you'd like to skip the setup in cPanel completely, you can use CloudFlare to setup your catch-all and have it send emails to your gmail for instance.

@hideath has an excellent guide here - https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/g...inimal-requirements-gmail-cloudflare.1546809/

As for your last question - you will have to compromise certain engines in GSA to be able to use catch-all.

Catch all are pretty easily detectable. And repeated requests from a different @domain.com that is not one of the popular email services are quickly caught and flagged by several sign up spam mechanisms.

thats what i found after many years of using SER - just use some of the high profile email providers pretty much guarantees successful account creation. the trick and trouble is to find decent suppliers for email accounts

Hi, @hifivebaby I can help you with that!

After a long time, and spending a lot of energy, time, and money, I found here in BHW a reliable supplier which is approved by BHW, and they helped me a lot with improving my LPM https blackhatworld.com/seo/catchall-email-webmail-hosting-webmailhostings-com-high-lpm-vpm-catch-all-inbox.1455004/page-10

Did you try the BHW or other suppliers, which you can share your experience?

if you want
you can always hook it up to something like SimpleLogin
Would function the same way. It's only $30 a year or so

ive used at least a couple of the suppliers on bhw with varying degrees of success. i cant point you at specific threads sorry, maybe you can search my previous posts and see if i reviewed any

Setting up catchall emails in cPanel is straightforward; just go to the Email section and configure a default address. It’s less discussed because Gmail or Cloudflare offers more features for managing large volumes."
hehe

Gmail with the dot trick gives you a bunch of variations, and cloudflare lets you set up a single catchall that just forwards to any email address (although note sometimes it gets flagged as spam) - so be sure to whitelist the domain.

I follow your advice with the price of $36 a year, but they do not provide any compatible files for any SEO tools and do not have anything to do with SEO tools. Why do I pay the same as before and without any benefit?
It is very good to have it, but offshore hosting or Gmail or any other free email providers have blocked me after some while, and you have to set it up from the beginning again and again. After trying your advice, I stayed with my first experience, and they have clean domains which help my projects. https blackhatworld (dot )com/seo/catchall-email-webmail-hosting-webmailhostings-com-high-lpm-vpm-catch-all-inbox.1455004/page-10

The main question is, why do we use any of the SEO Tools to automate our process and avoid any manual work.
To use cPanel, then CloudFlare is a good way to create the catchall emails, but it still needs some changes to your domain's records.
Then you have to create the SMTP format depending on the SEO Tools. It is a great process but still has some manual work.
@ZoraDocker has provided with the end result with an Offshore catchall email hosting here in BHW, which avoids all manual work and is the easiest solution. Since I switched, I do not have to care anymore about catchall email, and with some clicks, I have everything, even the SMTP format that I need. only download text files and upload into SEO Tools.

You're absolutely right, but I'm trying to find a solution and some good advice that’s currently the best available on the market. Of course, it could take a different direction, but it should be simple and cheapest enough for anyone, especially if the person is new to this.
