Catch All Email Method

Just had this strange idea method, which I do not endorse.
Buy domains which could be typos of popular email providers, such as yahoo.com > yahkoo.com, and create catch-all emails. With the billions of emails sent every day, there will surely be at least a few sent to that specific domain. Just a matter of time before you receive some email that contain sensitive and profitable information.

you will catch emails only when emails are with domain "yahkoo" so you would hardly catch 10 emails per day or 50 emails per day but surely not millions or even thousands. maybe you can try with domains like yahoo.red , yahoo.gree.co.in ETC., then you may catch couple of emails.

good luck finding typo/fat-fingered domains of mega popular websites. someone snatched it up looooong time ago.

Plus this goes beyond blackhat and is just straight-up illegal/unethical.

100% agree, dude is thinking about misleading the users at the very start and expecting to get money out of them. I'm dead sure he'll fail badly, this is not 2006/7 as suggested above in the post.
