Well, if you saw this pointless thread, you probably thought it was just another brainless idiot hyping themselves up as some crystal ball reader.

Anyway, these threads always interest me because there's a chance that one out of all of them is actually onto a winner. I did a bit of research but couldn't find the name of the coin (For some reason the OP made the thread but refused to tell anyone the name of the coin until he bought it... bla bla.. bs bs)

Anyway, @darkpsycho seems to have hit the nail on the head!

The idea of a coin that is backed by one of the biggest people in Crypto, Vitalik Buterin, and possibly a whole nation, makes this a good possible investment.

It's kinda like NEO/ Monacoin for Europe.

Of course, this depends a lot on the political situation over there, which we won't go into on BHW, but the idea of a nation, even a small one like Catalonia (7.5m population) launching a cryptocurrency is massive news.

What do you guys think? is @JV1999 right, or will this project struggle to get off the ground?

With Catalonia's independence referendum declared illegal, and its president now a fugitive, I wouldn't be so quick to think this is a magical coin.

I don't think that matters. Maybe that would even make it more effective. If Catalonia can show that they are not financially dependant on Spain that will help them. Anyway, try not to talk politics here, the thread will get removed.
 
This isn't the only ICO "backed" by Vitalik. I'm not saying that it's a bad investment, rather that OP of the bait thread may have referred to one of the other ones.

Yes, I suppose, but whether this is the currency he talked about or not, it doesn't matter.

This is a genuinely interesting project that could very well take off.

I'm not pumping any coin. I haven't even mentioned the name of any coin... they haven't even released it.

I already stated I don't care if this is your "sacred" coin. I wanted to start a discussion about Governments creating their own Cryptocurrency and how that could revolutionise the game.

Have you considered the possibility that you might be looking at that relationship from a shitty perspective? No shit, legit coins get mentioned. Likewise, shitty coins get mentioned. The fact that I am new at BHW means absolutely nothing.

Well ETC is sort of legit. But ofc that won't pump it because there's probably no news on ETC. It's when you post something legit like: "Oh look ETC is now forking/halvening/just got partnered with / conference @ " and then suddenly it pumps. But you know, maybe you guys are right. Maybe it's just a coincidence that legit BHW crypto posts get pumped when someone posts it.

You mean, all I have to do is endorse a legit coin on BHW and it will get pumped? Oy vey, I wish I had known about this life-changing loophole earlier. You sure the coin is not pumped because of the news, as opposed to the fact that the news were shared on BHW?

It starts pumping harder after the post. I saw it with Neo and LSK. (I didn't even start those posts.) People watch the crypto section of BHW, surprisingly.

I bought NEO in the ICO.

It's cute of you to think that BHW had any effect on it. It was already a massive coin with more people in the Slack than have ever participated in BHW's crypto section.

The reason it looks like BHW has an effect is because people post coins that have already started rising. They were rising before the thread, and they will rise after.
