Cat dreams...

Watching my cat sleep today. He started to twitch his paws and ears a little bit the same way some people do when they are having an intense dream or nightmare.

I can't imagine my cat having anything to be afraid of, he's a spoiled house cat. Doesn't go outside, has a big house to run around in. Never had anything bad happen to him. Gets a varied diet of fresh cooked chicken,fish,beef 3 times a day. Tons of places to sleep/relax. Lots of windows for cat TV.

This got me to thinking, what do cats dream about?

my little puppy does the same too
feels like she having horror dreams majority of the time she naps
 
Dogs have these dreams too. We don't know for sure what they dream since we can't ask them but I suppose they dream about chasing other animals, playing, eating etc. You know, anything that a cat or dog do.
 
I was thinking that to. But so you think they have abstract weird dreams like us. Or are they more "normal" and realistic?
 
HAHA my cat does the same! I think all animals in general dream about stuff, maybe not like humans but they still do. Once, I got scared because my cat was literally shaking and I couldn't wake her up, it was horrible.
 
My cat does the same things when he sleeps. Maybe he dreams that he is a big cat living in a wildlife and preying other animals.
 
More than likely cat woman.

I mean if I was a cat and I saw a big ass giant cat on 2 legs I'd be scared.

Animals generally have a simple life that gives them a clear vision to see and avoid accident on instances where human would have ordinarily fall a victim. Though they can't talk it out, they see things that terrify them just as we do.
 
I took my cat in my car one time, and she clung to the dashboard for the 10 mile drive, lol, once I got her back in the house, I'm sure she still has nightmares about that day.
