Cashing Cheque in Europe ??

Hello

how long it takes to clear a US check coming let's say from AdBrite in European country like France ?? and does the bank convert the US dollar into Euro currency or they put in the account in Dollar ?

anyone from main Europe country can help on this ?

The bank will hold the check for 30 days usually depending your relationship with the bank. It means any credit card, car loans and mortgage. Funds will be automatically convert to the currency the account opend for.

thank you , the bank account is in Euro so they will convert it to Euro but at what exchange rate ?? on the day I give them the check paper or the time time when the check been sent from Adbrite and taking the exchange rate by that time

I also read some people was clearing check in same day or within a week , it looks like it differs from bank to another

The rate is converted at the time you deposit your check. You can ask the manger who will know better (not the teller). Cashing a check same day means you have good relationship and credit history with the bank like having a mortgage or term deposits. If something goes wrong with your check, the bank will hold your term depoists or add to your mortgage until you pay back.
The check is only a piece of paper until it clears.
