Wow I some how often find my way to wacky threads like this. Maybe it is because both sides are passionate about what they believe. I am not going to sit here and trash cash gifting but let me share my thoughts because I have some real experience in this area and I have made around 120K + in the past participating in similar activities. Guys this forum RULES because you have real people here with first hand info about what they know because they have done it. I am a lowly lurking newbie here because it is where I come to learn new tricks but this I can speak on with great detail so here goes.
Is it legal?
ABSOLUTELY NOT the way it is practiced in the USA & abroad. Sorry, and yes I made money in this type of thing but if you are going to do something know the facts. This is a BLACK hat forum so there are no angels here. We are all adults and if you want to give a friend a gift of some money fine. You want to join a gifting organization for the purpose of later receiving a gift NOT LEGAL. Not the same thing at all when there is reciprocity involved it is not a gift it is an EXCHANGE. Want to do BH with Big G or Ebay or CL fine but first except it for what it is. I come here because guys use BH and I wanted to know some of it and add it to my arsenal but I have to know the risk and be honest with myself and others and I always was. I lost money in programs as well but made more than I lost and that took work and good info just like in anything. Blind faith is usually not a good thing to have and especially in the case of cash gifting.
Can you make money?
Sure and here are some tips.
1. Join early
2. join well organized programs by guys with experience a list of active participants who will market heavy.
3. Diversify into several programs
4. Forget hype and find out the facts: Check Google for who is talking about it look at alexa for is anyone visiting related pages to it and frequent the forums in that scene to see where the buzz is. Wow sounds alot like any other program and it is starting to smell like work.
5. NEVER EVER use money you can not afford to lose entirely
6. Did I mention Join early LOL
7. Find referral hounds who join tons of programs and pitch one every second and mark them and avoid them like the plague. Just like in anything find someone with interests outside their own and you got a goldmine ( 1 out of like 40 ppl probably fit this build so get ready for some trial and error ).
8. The money is in the list: Build a good list of active friends and when you can find something that works get them in EARLY and guys who make money with you most often will stick with you and you will build leverage ( Just like in any other business )
So why am I here? Cause I done it and E-*old investing for several years. My view is now it is over run with scammers. scammers make more work for honest guys because 1 out 10 programs paying turns to 1 out of 100. Most guys don't make money so you are always building a list and I don't care what anyone says this is the truth. I think if I am going to be working that hard I would rather learn some sound techniques or apply the marketing I learned there with the stuff here and launch LEGAL online ventures. When internet stocks were flying in the early 90's most guys made tons of money but a sound business was often not behind the company and BANG most of them are gone now. You need something of value to make consistent money not just fast money and that is why I am where I am now. I don't want to trash it and yes someone can make money but until you are on a certain level you really don't see how people are making money. There are really lots of good ways to invest your time on this lovely board that will make you some cash. I think if you got a nack for gifting or whatever you want to call it then you probably got a nack for other stuff. You just need to open up and understand fast money comes and goes fast. That's my Honest 2 cents
