Cash Cow Videos Without Voice?

Hey everyone, I think I've reached the point where I've read too much and I'm now confused from all the random information.

My question is: Is it possible to monetize youtube cash cow channels with videos which have no voice in them? For example videos similar to Dark5 ones but without the voiceover?

YouTube does not monetize videos without sound.

Possible but let's be honest, who in the world like to watch videos without sound ( beside if you are watching porn). Videos with voice makes it more entertaining for the viewers.

What if it's just an ambient sound? That's how dark5 started and just recently (like 1 or 2 years ago) he started with the voiceovers. I wonder if he was forced to do voiceovers in order to keep his channel monetized or he just reached a point where is financially comfortable to pay for voiceovers.

I'm not into Youtube but I don't see why this video won't be monetized. It has background music so if it weren't monetized that means every mix of channel songs wouldn't be monetized because they use one picture and background music.

I don't know, maybe I don't know about youtube, just my opinion.

Yeah of course it's possible otherwise music channels without lyrics (e.g. LoFi) could not be monetized.

Youtube monetizes both channels with video with voice and those with videos without voice, users instead prefer videos with voiceover because they are lazy and do not want to read.

I checked a video of the account he posted above. There was no audio other than the person speaking, so no ambient music or anything else. That's why I assumed he wanted to monetize videos without any sound, so basically a slideshow.

People generally fail to hold the user's retention without voiceovers, if you can do it with ambient sounds or copyright free music, that could work for you!

The video you linked is monetizeable, but ambient sound videos as in just rain sounds and an animated picture of a fireplace won't be monetized. I know because I started going down that path using my Premiere Pro skills - putting rendered scenes together with background noise. A lot of creators had those types of videos demonitized - the ones who are successful with it had to upload videos showing their artistic process. I couldve done that, but it was too much of a hassle for me

Probably YES. But when I saw these two different contradictory views on YT forum, I'm doubtful now.

Here it says monetization is possible:

Here it says, it cannot be, go through expert comments:

In the second link, one of the expert is saying "Looks like there's no commentary or original value being provided by you. It's just a slideshow with music. So, you would not be able to monetize a channel like this"

I don't know how they will interpret VALUE ADDITION, when channel goes for monetization review.

In addition with the ever changing terms of YT, I'm not sure whether YT takes the same stand even in the future for this monetized content.

You need to add your voice, you can use text-to -speech software too

There might be exemptions where there was no manual process when the channels were reviewed for monetization, but I'm pretty sure yeah.
