Hello guys, I've been following BHW since 2014 but made account now.

Well I'll get straight down to my question,

I'm thinking of testing a niche blog with zero backlinks, yes zero backlinks. As much I've learnt from my IM experience churn and burn sites are good, you rank them and get to the next one. It will make you some bucks but as soon as it's hit by Google you'll be like "Oh Crap! That site gone too!" So with time you do make decent number of blogs or sites but they won't be stable so you have to make new sites again and again. Aseach search engine is there for the PEOPLE looking for the real information. They won't stat on your site if they don't like it for long term! So why not make blogs for the READERS and not for the GOOGLE! I know it sounds crazy but still worth a try.

Enough with the BS, What I'm thinking to try and test a site is just do some research, find a niche which is profitable and post some nice long and unique articles, at least 30 not less than that. Just post them and forget about the site. Of course the articles will be keyword optimized BUT the articles will be FOR THE READERS providing valuable information.

So now, I'd like to know should I write those articles myself or hire a content writer?

On to you guys now!
Shoot your suggestions!

Write only if you have time and can write as good or better than a professional writer or if you are on a tight budget.

Depends on a lot of things. Time, how much money you have and also what you want to do with your site.

The "no backlink" approach is fine until you notice your traffic goes down and when you check your rankings you see you were overtaken... by someone with equally good content and a few backlinks. That being said, I am following this approach on one of my websites and it's going ok, but your domain need at least some initial authority to make it happen.

As for the articles, I believe 2500 word is a good number to aim for, and finding a writer to write quality 2.5k word articles will burn your budget quickly. What I did was find a college student locally, and gave him some instructions to follow. Once he is done with the article, I review it, add some more text and publish.

Hi, @MaverikGun. If you got the money and don't have the time, then you can hire a content writer. However, you are on a tight budget and you are willing to commit in publishing your own quality content then it's better to write it on your own.

Are you trying to do something like this ?

Let me tell you 1 thing. This shit works if you really answer all the questions in the niche and have first hand experience with the products(images for trust, videos).

I recently took a look at a site which I made when I was starting, I was reviewing all the headphones I had and to my surprice.

I earnt $300 in 2 years and I didn't even know (Amazon India earnings).

So if I would have chosen good niche, would have earnt even more but this works if your work is authentic and other people stumble upon it somehow :)

But, in my opinion...

You need backlinks to rank. There's no doubt about it.

And, no body has time to wait for 2-3 years :P

Just my experience, don't hate...

I've been in adult and entertainment based niche for couple of years now. I've used automation and stuff like that, got my sites ranked well but after a time they sink so down that it feels once a while I should've not made a site like that instead focused on quality site or should I say authority site. I've made good income for past years but the sites were going dead and I used to just buy domain for a year only. So I am now tired of purchasing domains doing that stuff again and again and get kicked in the butt!

I am free for at least a month or two as planning on a road trip so took a break from job. So I was just researching and came with this not so unique idea of going with quality sites and when one ranks why not interlink with them. Show people that "Hey! This one's our site too!" For now I'm not confident and hasn't decided will I be doing no backlink or go with a "Sites Empire" , I hope everyone gets my point.

Well I have watched their videos and read about the zero backlink strategy. But I don't trust them for 100%, they keep saying content content content! If that's the case then IM would be dead and all Content Writers be there only lol. And I'm not following them just thinking of experimenting. To be very honest I DON'T really believe any of the so called BIG BLOGS people out there saying they make grands of money from their blog with zero backlinks!

That's total BS! Take for matthewwoodward, or this income school or any other blog. All of these show their income or tell people how they make grands so that guys who are new in IM will follow their blog or fall for it. It's like honey pot imo.

It's like ideas flowing in the head, popping sometimes this and that. Point being offering people what they want BUT it's 2018 now and this is not an out of the box idea I can assure with that but still it could be doable.

Well.. content is what makes google, google. You go there to search for content. It is not wrong to assume, that good content makes for good search results.

Their site probably got some exposure, the algorithm changed and they got lucky. Maybe it suddenly filled some niche that Google picked up on.

Good, relevant content always goes a long way.

Well I guess it's sorted then, I think I'll go with a test site see if it goes well. But will do the regular churn and burn sites and other stuff I do.
