Case study . THE BUM . Make money with no money.

I'm wondering how you got a $5 P.O. Box. I haven't seen one that cheap in my lifetime. Maybe I just live in expensive places, but I'm about an hour from Philly and haven't seen prices like that.

Also for people that think that homeless people are all unintelligent, I've worked with homeless people for several years and a lot of them are completely sane, some even college educated, they are just down on their luck and can't get government help and others have drug dependencies.

5.00 P.O. box try any back woods town in Georgia . Actually some towns around here you have to ahve a P.O. box . And you can not charge an outrageous sum because people here have no money .

My buddy, who is a cop, moonlights at an area hospital where just yesterday, a 73 year old man was abandoned by his family because they no longer wanted to care for him. The hospital staff could do nothing for him as he was not dying or injured, just old and frail and could no longer care for himself. He'll probably end up at the local rescue mission and then who knows what will happen to him. How sad that society will now view this man as a bum.

My hat's off to you valwardon. The seed that you have planted with this "bum", or rather, unfortunate individual, will hopefully sprout and yield many blessings for his future as well as yours.

I would be very interested in some more info on the techniques you are using?

Is is CL > affiliate links?

I am still a bit of a noob and trying to learn the ropes. I have not used any CL methods yet.

Keep of the good work Val. Even us that make money are always looking for new ways to make money as there as some many ways. This will even be good for the non noobs looking to expand there thinking levels or other ways to think outside of the box.
 
yeah i have not been too far off from bum status at one time and its nice to run in to people that can help as i am sure that there are many of us here that are now or are near to, or have been there at one point.
 
Well just a little update he has broke the 50.00 barrier but seems to be hovering right about that . I am letting him loose and gave him my phone number . I done all I pretty much could .

I also have spoken with the his mother as well and told her of his success . Well this is extremely wierd as soon as I told her about that she wanted him to come home . Jeesh even mothers are only interested in money :( That kinda made me sad as hell how can a mother only be interested in money . what has happened to todays world .

Guess I will never understand .

I know I am bumping an old thread here, but after re-reading the thread I am kind of emotionally invested in how this bum turned out? Did he stick with it, ect...

An update would be appreciated, if possible.

Well beef I know the kid moved back in with his mom and I have not seen him on the street since .

That can be either a good thing orrr a bad thing .

I do not care to go back to his mom's house though . So only thing I can do is wish him luck . I have not even recieved a thank you email or anything . Yeah he has my email !!!

I agree. I'm still kinda going through that initial information overload. Just when I think I have something that I'm going to work on, BOOM! ADD kicks in and I see something that I think I like better. By the end of the night I'm drained and confused and my hard-drive is full of things that seem to only be parts of scattered thoughts.

I'm totally w/you in that area!

I'm sitting here, reading this thread...saw the comment about the OP setting up a website for 'newbies' to be used for a little hand-holding/inspiration/direction and I tried to go to the site..but there's nothing there!

I've been unemployed since August, have bounced between friends in AZ and now w/family in IN...I've put up blogs promoting some CB products, did some bum marketing and some social bookmarking but could never get any sales. I've been at IM now for damn near two years, though I've known about it since the dawn of the world wide web...my former marriage got in the way for a few years, but once that was over, I said..'sh**! now's the time!"... LOL!

I'm down to my last few bucks in the bank...put up some CL ads here in my area in hopes of just helping one or two small local businesses w/their SEO services and not one legitimate bite..I'm getting desperate...I know all about finding a market, KW research, blogs, affiliate products, traffic generation, etc.., etc.,...It's just getting up over that 'hump' of the 1st sale that's troublesome.

I've sat here in front of my pc many a nights over the last few weeks trying to imagine what I would do if someone had a gun to my head and said 'make one sale in 24 hours or you die!"...and I've suffered from A.D.D. everytime...

I know that if I could just get that 'snowball' going down the hil, it'll pick up speed and before I know it, things will turn around..and when that day comes, I'll wanna reach out to everyone who was ever..or is..in my situation....$50K in debt, unemployed, desperate for a new life, etc., etc..

F**k..I'm babbling....sorry guys..had to let some steam out.. :)

Just gotta keep plowing ahead and keep that motivation as high as possible!

Nah don't worry about it. I get it. I work at Petsmart...and while I love what I do for the critters I work with, I DETEST the people I work with. I about lose my mind every day...with every stupid customer that hasn't done any research towards the pet they want to buy ( I suppose that's how some of the more advanced people feel on this forum eh?)...anyhow. I'm ready to be able to make the money that my fiancee and I deserve. I'm ready to either quit my job, or just work for the sake of helping people you know? I've been doing this for about a year now, and still no sales. He tries so hard to back me, but is losing faith; and I can understand why. Now he just sits and smiles as I get excited over an ebook or new nifty piece of software... trying to encourage me, so that I can call him dumb when I make that sale and we can laugh about it later.

I need something/someone to just show me what they've done...what they do. And be there. Again, hand-holding. I'm almost too proud to admit it, but I really need this change. Sure, you can read all the ebooks in the world about 'what someone has done' but in that same ebook you'll read about how to fool your customer into thinking that you've been there. It's part of the game isn't it? It's how you make your sales. And it's a ploy that we've all fallen for.

I have faith that I will get there...I'll get that first sale..then the second and so on. But when and how it happens has yet to be seen. Until then, I'll keep on truckin'!
