Case Study: Testing Parasite pages. Here's the results

A great case study indeed. Have you tried your own domain with the same link building strategy and seen any rankings?

Yes, i have ranked quite a many domains over the years with similar ranking strategy. It takes more time to rank.

Hello guys, it's been a long time.

Just wanted to tell you that my Storify pages are still ranking mainly with private blog posts built to them. It's been almost a year!

Here's some proof:
9900 local searches
sc1.PNG

6600 local searches
sc2.PNG

So the Storify can still be used for parasite pages or a quick profit.

I'm using lot's of longtail anchors as well as url variations. Links are dripped over longer period of time.

Was able to rank storify couple of months back as well for medium competitive keywords. Care to share your anchor text distribution ratio ?

I don't remember the exact ratio but I usually do as follows:

50% long tails/keyword variations/short questions/LSI
20% target keywords
30% URL variations/generic keywords

Could anyone share any other sites that work for parasite strategy?

Here's an update:

Academia page got de-indexed after running a massive GSA campaign.

Storify page is still ranking on page one and still sending me quite a lot of traffic. It's been a year when I published this page.

Here' the screenshot:

I haven't done any link building for the past 5-6 months.

Thanks for the update. I know for sure some of the web2.0s can take a lot of links and still rank.
Do you care to share other parasites/web2.0s that are as good as storify?

To be honest, i haven't tested new parasites recently. I'm more into building authority sites now. You can try Rebelmouse, it should work well but you need good content on it!

Nice find man, I hadn't tested Storify. Any of the others pan out?

Basically any un-spammed Web 2.0 or authority blog can be used as parasite. Use Semrush to check whether the site is suitable or not. If there have been a big drop in traffic or ranking positions, then leave it!

Storify works really well for me , been using it for a while now .

Here's a little hint with FB parasite pages. Target "Brand + Reviews" or "Brand + Scam" for your pages.

Here is an example:

This one was for a reputation job. This was a company that stole money from me. That ROR is me as well (you should see the rest of the page..ooopsy)

Think outside the box. There are a million ways you can make money with this one.

HI, thanks for sharing this!

My question is how to insert amazon affiliate links in your post? do u add links straight to amazon product pages? or a link for another own domain money site where u send visitors to amazon official site?

Do u have to add any extra disclaimer terms in your post or anywhere, for amazon affiliate activities?

Just wondering if ranking parasite pages to promote amazon affi products is not against any of Amazon rules?!

Hope anyone can help clarify here for me plz

thanks a lot in advance

You insert Amazon short link to your text like an usual anchor. This method is actually against their rules so as soon as your Storify page is ranked you should redirect your traffic to your domain. I usually remove the links as soon as I have got some sales. I'm using this method to cheaply test our what sells and what not. As soon as you find your niche, build a domain around it!
