[Case Study] Ranking EMD on Bing in 2019

Update:

I ordered an article for 1,500 words. I think I paid like $12 for it. It's just filler content because I am using a content locker. These people don't read, they just want that juicy download button. I did, however, add some text of my own to lure them in with sexy content. After that though it's just nonsense gibberish. Total words is 1,650.

I have a feeling this might rank on Google and I'll edit the content with LSI keywords if that happens but I'm not holding my breath. The point is to rank on Bing.

Next, I have to work on the download page to make it attractive.

Do you have link building strategy? Also, is it just going to be a one page site?

Since the article was just published, I'm going to see whether it can rank on its own.

If not, as mentioned, I will use some simple links that anyone can build. Maybe 10 of them and I think that should be enough.

The goal of this journey is to see how well EMDs can do on Bing, so I don't want to rely on backlinking as that would be kind of counterproductive to what I'm trying to accomplish.

Cheers :)

Cool, love stuff like this!

So the page one competition for this keyword is weak?

Asking because I found a good exact match keyword but the first page of bing is full of big shopping sites.

Keysearch says the competition level is 23/100 but I'd go by the "intitle" suggestion on the first post as well. When you got two of those factors going for you, plus good search volume according to Bing's keyword tool, you're good to go.

Nobody talks about Bing but SEO is a lot easier. Hidden gem if you can find good keywords. Especially in the local space.

Hey guys, sorry for the long time away. Had some things come up. Here's an update of the rankings:

In general, it looks like they haven't moved much. I'm sure if I spend some time on SEO, I'll be able to rank it. I will do some SEO in 2 weeks when I've got more time.

All in all though, if you find a good keyword, an EMD will rank really quickly on Bing in 2020 still.

Can confirm about EMD. I'm seeing great results with local/lead generation and EMD. Indexing is a pain with Bing but once you're indexed with EMD Bing is very kind. I'm ranking fairly decently for niche + city and niche + near me terms with 0 backlinks in some fairly competitive niches.

Thanks for the update.

Wow. Thanks man. Makes me want to put some focus on bing.

It seems that if you are building links (not earning links) bing is a lot easier to rank on. On bing I rank #1 for a term everyone in SEO will of searched for. On Google I'm not even in the top 100!

Bing is definitely stuck in the old age of ranking, but I'm not complaining. I'll be investing more time into Bing eventually. If there's a good ahrefs strategy out there for finding keywords ideal for Bing, that would be deadly.

Just wanted to update that I used an SEO service on this site as part of the review and the rankings have fallen. I don't know if they're correlated right now. Sad but I may reorder an SEO package from a trusted provider to see if it can be revived later.
