About me
I've been doing IM for about a year and half now. Using yt, i was able to make over $1,000/day via affiliate marketing and some other small projects. Keep in mind this is back about 8 Months ago when you could rank a video with HR views and blast with GSA. Because of my fast success, I got a big head and stopped making progress on any of my projects , and put myself in the back seat. Money is running low and im ready to start dominating like i did in the past. I'm a firm believer in success if you believe in yourself and you take action.

Ive been doing a small few tests recently and ive successfully ranked a few videos on Youtube (top 3) within 10 days for some medium competitive keywords.

My thought process is simple; Find a method that works, then rinse and repeat.

About the Case Study
I'll be doing 2 case studies within this thread.
  1. Rank a video on google that ALREADY has a video on the front page.
  2. Rank a video on google that DOES NOT have a video on the front page.

Its time to make a change, and make progress. Lets do this shit.

Good luck on your journey. Keep us updated.

Youtube videos are hard to rank in google nowadays.

Day 1 Tasks
1. Find 2 low competition keywords (1 that has a video on page one, one that does not).
2. Create 2 High quality, informative videos around my niche.

Keyword Competition
The objective here is to find some small keywords that are easily rankable. Once I have validation that i can rank a video on the big G, I'll be stepping into some larger keywords. To find these small kw, Here are my metrics
  1. Search Volume : 500/mo or less
  2. Exact Results: under 75k for exact on google
  3. LongTail Pro Keyword Competitiveness: Under 35

I found 2 keywords (1 that has a video on page 1, one that does not) and I'm ready to do this.

Video Creation
This can be done very easily using powtoon or videoscribe. I'll be creating 2 seperate videos that are at LEAST 1 minute, and I'll be doing the voice over.

Nice, finally a video ranking journey, was waiting so much for somebody to actually do a case study on this, good luck with you videos and if you don't mind can I ask what's your backlinks approach to youtube videos?

I dont have a direct answer. I'll need to do some more research before i can give you a conclusive answer. I wont be focusing on churn 'n burn methods anymore. I'll be treating my videos like a website in some regards. I'll be able to elaborate more in when i reach that point (tonight or tomorrow).

thank you very much for this case study me to right now i'm trying to rank a video on google but it's that something change after the "waiting period" update now it's more harder to rank video on google than before so good luck and keep going man

Great thread. Will be following your journey.
Btw, what happened to your previous videos - got deleted or the ranks took a plunge?

If you're looking for other templates to use, video maker fx is another alternative for video creation.

I've used it in the past and made some amazing videos out of it.

You can find the free version if you look around.

Cheers.

Most videos from the good ole days have been removed. They got taken down due to the views i purchased before the "big update" a few months ago. A few stood strong and are now ranking quite highly (on youtube). All the video rankings on google took a plunge.

Thanks OP. Good thread. Subscribed. This is timely. I have a white hat site and we produce new video everyday. We post on YT and do 500ish word high-quality blogpost related to the video. Most the keywords targeted are medium to medium low competitive. However, did a video yesterday. And for secondary keyword we were on page 1 of G in 20 hours. The blog post is nowhere. This brings up a question/thought:

1. Are you strictly targeting G search traffic? What about YT search?
2. Do you approach G and YT separately/differently?
3. Does you use G+ at all in this strategy? We do, but the video that ranked to page 1 in 20 hours has no links and we haven't put it on G+ yet.
4. Are you monetizing strictly with YT monetization?

Awesome! I will be following you. I wish you success.

I saw a video that said 30% exact match anchor will do it nowadays, im trying to rank a yt vid with gsa like this.

I am a big fan of such initiatives especially when the author is a smart guy who already experienced some success.

I will follow this on a daily basis :)

Cheers mate!

This could be the most useful journey for the last couple months if you persist.
You should try drip feed backlinks instead of blasting them. Also will you be buying views these crappy days?
