There are tons of Micro Niche Site Services here on BHW, and I'm here to test out as many of them as I can. Why? Because I'm not an expert at making websites, and I know that this sort of case study would be very useful to a lot of people. So what's the plan? Purchase Micro Niche Sites, attempt to rank them, and see how they do. I will document every thing I do about the sites as often as I can, including their rankings/earnings/investments. However, I won't be posting what the sites are, etc. However, I'll try and be as specific about the competition of the sites I'm trying to rank against without giving away my sites.
My goal is to buy from at least 1 Service a month, rank it, and try another the next month. I am fortunate enough to have capital to do this case study. You can make money without investment on the internet, its not "hard" persay, its just tedious. If you want to make money without any money, check around the forum. It is a WEALTH of information. This was my first purchase, I used a B2G1 coupon and the reviews are really what convinced me. I also bought all of them with 5 articles. I wanted something that was good out of the box and wasn't going to require a whole lot of work.
I purchased the sites on August 13th, and they were completed August 30th. The slight delay was my fault, the domain I bought was a letter off, and luckily the customer service was excellent. Bill didn't question it at all and just switched over the work to the correct site. That was a big plus because I felt really stupid for purchasing the wrong domain. (I had to talk to Namecheap and get the domain switch, they charged me like a dollar to do it. Better than a whole new domain I suppose!)
So how are my sites ranking right out of the box?

That's not too shabby, the only one I'm really worried about ranking is Site 3. There is a ".com" ranking already very high, and I think it might be a blackhatter. So it'll be interesting, especially since the keyword itself isn't worth all that much. Even if I had 1st place, I'd only see $~7-8 a month out of it.
So am I satisfied with the keywords? They're all pretty good, while their CPCs are lower than expected, the first one makes up for it with the higher than 1,000 Local. The second is a branded website, so I might be able to make it into a Amazon site for better revenue since the CPC stinks. The third site I am a little worried about, however I asked the customer service if the ".com' would be a problem and they looked at it and said no.
What backlinking service have I decided on? After looking around and thinking about the potential earnings of these MNS, i've decided to use Gyuman82's SEO Blitz. It's $25 for 2 URLs/Keywords and gives you a good mix of links. I've ordered this for the three sites (so they'll be a little diluted, but I'll be able to tell if the service is worth it). I like that its sort of a one stop shop to get yourself started and then you can diversify using other specialty services. If I find a real winner in terms of earnings, I can put more money into it, but since these sites are very micro sites, I don't want to drop $xxx/month on SEO services. I also like that I can just use this service for future sites as sort of a "control" to show with 'even' links how well the sites do purchased from different services.
