Case Study/journey - From Research to Ranking

davids355,

This is my very first post on BHW. I am a complete newb at blackhat SEO. Can you give me any advice where to start my noble endeavors? Thanks.

Lex

Term has 4400 exacts per month.
So Assuming 1st place gets roughly 40% of that (1760)
I estimate #1 will be worth roughly $120-$150 per month to me - probably triple that easily if I get a CPA offer going, which is my goal.

I am using dripable for other projects as well.

Hi David,

Looks good and all but curious about one thing. How much do you expect to make a month from this website? I ask this cause the linkbuilding services you use seem rather expensive. Linkpwn is $129,- and Dripable starts at $49,-/month + you said you bought 5 blogroll links. Also how long will you be using Dripable, just one month?

Cheers,

Dennis

Thanks for your business and this case study! Looks like you/we are making some progress with a mix of the linkpwn2.0 and dripable! ;)

Anyone got any comments? I know it's a bit of a noobs guide:)

I disagree, I think your keyword research phase was spot on.

It sounds like, in order to target this new keyword you have modified your on page SEO on the already ranking page to target both phrases. This was probably a mistake, you should have left it as it was and spawned a few new pages targeting the new term. It may have taken a little longer to rank the new term but would have provided a more stable, lower risk income stream in the mean time.

Regardless, looks like you are making moves in the right direction. Perhaps instead of all those comments and social bookmarks you would have been better with a few contextual backlinks on decent authority domains (BuildMyRank/MrE).

That justify's the costs indeed. This $120-150 is based on Adsense? I have a site that has 1200 visitors making around $75,-/month but not really a buying keyword (though closely related to buying keywords)

Yes it's based on adsense and on the average earnings per visitor that I receive in my niche.

Thanks:) no didn't split the page - initial keyword was targeted at homepage, this one is targeted at sub page. What I really done was move resources (money) to the new keyword:)

Contextual backlinks is where I came from but was paying too much.
The last few days I have been looking at high pr society which looks pretty good...

I also have ferrariSEO working on this keyword now - he has ranked a few MND sites for me so I'm looking forward to see what he can do:)

Keyword is now sitting at #5.
Big thanks to http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/buy-sell-services/341699-linkpwn2-0-www-backlinkfuel-com-newly-designed-latest-formula.html and Ferrari SEO :)
