If you’re running ads for casino, betting, or sweepstakes verticals, you know how brutal CPCs can be – especially in Tier 1 markets. I’ve tested dozens of campaigns in EU and SEA and cracked a few methods to significantly drop CPC while still scaling conversions.
Here’s what I learned after burning through $30k+ in test budgets
Here’s what I learned after burning through $30k+ in test budgets
- Direct linking to the casino/offer = instant high CPC or rejection.
- Instead, use 2-step prelanders:
Content-style page → CTA → Main offer
Bonus tip: Make it look like an "organic" article with social proof.
- Rotate GEOs: Launch low-CPC countries (PH, BR, IN) first → then switch to high-CPC (DE, UK).
- Warm-up ad accounts for 3–5 days with clean verticals before launching real campaign.
- For example, running the same creative in Thai vs English in Thailand = up to 40% CPC difference.
- Use native slang in headlines + emojis = stronger CTR = lower CPC.
- Don’t go hardcore cloaking every campaign.
- Smart use of cloakers + tracker rotation (RedTrack, Voluum) still works in certain networks.
- Changing creatives too often can flag the account.
- Keep image static, but rotate headlines every 48h.
CTR spikes → CPC drops.
Bonus Tips:
- Use agency/rented ad accounts with clean history to lower scrutiny.
- Try pushing offers via native ads (MGID, RevContent) for initial warm-up.
