Today I was searching for some Fiver gigs and on one of the gigs I saw one of the customers with positive feedback has left his website (many people do it, I don't know why). So I decided to make some reverse engineering in order to see if this gig works or not and because I thought he may have used other gigs as well, I searched Google with:
And I ended with 20 results, it means this guy has used 20 Fiverr gigs. Personally I don't use Fiverr a lot, thus I don't know if Fiverr gigs are good or bad, that's why I decided to keep going with the reverse engineering to find it out for myself. Most of the gigs were used 3 weeks ago, enough time for every website to see some results.
The gigs were the following:
After that I loaded the website in Google Keyword Tool in the field Website and I got 100 keywords for this website. I ordered the keywords by US exact local monthly searches and took the first 31 to analize. The search volume for the first keyword "web traffic" and the last "how to get traffic" was 9900/4400 and 1000/320 (Global/Local): The first 31 keywords were:
I loaded them in Rank Tracker and checked for US Google Bing and Yahoo... the only keyword that was in Top 100 was "increase web traffic" (search volume 3600/1300) on posision #93.
As you see I don't comment OnPage SEO and focus only on OffPage and especially on Link building, as this is the most important for good ranking. I don't know if the problem is in the Fiver gigs quality or in the selection of Fiver gigs, but what I know in this case study is Fiver gigs don't work.
