Case Study Continued: Tier 2 Link Building

A great case study, as for those worrying about loss of rankings after initial boost, just keep building more links. If a network's blog get de-indexed, there will always be more added and if you simply leave things as they are after an initial blast, you may well feel the pain.

If going strong means going from 1XXX indexed blogs down to 8XX, then yes, thats strong indeed. The fact that the majority of the network is owned by a handful of people is a big risk in itself. I'm not even trying to bash your service or FBL, I still use that network as part of my overall strategy, but it's def not as strong as it was before 10+ providers on this forum + all the other forums started offering piss cheap PR blog links.

What about the anchors/Stuff.
- How much do you use exact anchors? Maybe you dilute anchors further by some means, like social bookmarking?
- Are T1 articles on the same topic (keyword from money site in title) or they are in related topic?
- How many web 2.0's do you use and what software do you recommend?

How about your content in these web 2.0? From what I see Pogiboys come with 2 automatically spun posts per web 2.0. You said that you are drip feeding articles further on Rankwyz, but isn't that spun content either? Sorry if you already gave that info and I missed it (searched through your 2 threads)

And you said you're not linking your Web 2.0s to your money site yet. But since the rankings you achieved are not going to last very long, isn't it the best moment to link them to your money site when they are still high in serps? Or they won't lose their value despite falling down in google?

I think this guy is correct. Here's a thought that I've been playing with. If as we're always told the "money is in the list", why would you build any dodgy links to your money site. Would it not make sense to make your site simply a super converting site and forget about SEO? Then setup a bunch of ranking feeders sites which exist simply to capture email/social opt-ins? After you have those email/social opt-ins, you can then direct traffic/customers to your main site at will without caring about Google ranking? That's likely my next plan.

I'm not sure I would go with that strategy. I feel it's safer to run links through your own filters. Building more links when you get spanked seems a little foolhardy, but maybe that's what worked for you so far

Regarding those web 2.0 , from what I've read, you used different services to rank those properties (which do not contain a link to your main site) and not your money site. To me it sounds more like a Tier 1 services test since there's only one layer and not two. Is this correct? Thanks again!

How many got indexed out of the 1500 blog posts?

Yes and no. I've divided my Web 2.0's up into different groups and used different services on each group. Those web 2.0's do not link to my main site. However you are incorrect that it is a Tier 2 services test. I've specifically targeted Tier 2 services on this forum and elsewhere and am using those for my links. Spammy, high volume links in some cases. This isn't exactly a Tier 1 sort of thing - unless you and I have highly different definitions of Tier 1 :-D

I will be linking them shortly to one site of mine in this niche. I also am going to be doing it with a twist to try something out, however that's not really relevant to here.

I actually own the product on my money site and it's how i make part of my living. So having a longevity perspective that's data driven is greatly appreciated. Given you're trying to get longevity out of your PBN, would you not go with Essential Pumpers moving forward given your statement that they're focused on diversity/safety? For me, that seems like the obvious option if we're talking long term quality. thoughts?

I wouldn't rule out any of the services you used in your studies for the reason you stated - each service may have their own parameters for success.

Lover, was just wondering what your other business is and if it's in the same field. looking for someone to provide more long-term services.

You're asking about longevity and how to get something like that. I am kind of *guessing* here as like I've said this case study is strictly a Tier 2 case study, and it did use some pretty spammy services. Some of them specifically say they don't recommend using them for Tier 1, and are more a rank & bank style of link. So when you're asking me what's going to last, and I explicitly excluded what will last from my test, all I have left is my gut

My gut says if you want something to last, use Essential Pumpers. There a couple of reasons behind this, but it basically boils down to reputation, the layers between you and the spam and a couple other things. However, if you don't mind waiting a few months, feel free to PM me after 3 months to see how these web 2.0's are doing. I don't mind calculating a few rankings down the road.

I didn't see the quality of the articles - I was just counting Tier 2 linking power It's good to hear it's decent and not just random foreign language spun garbage. Lover's service definitely takes the cake as far as immediate linking power goes, and I have no problem recommending it. Provided you use it as he instructs of course.
