Instead of blanket forcing it for everyone the system implemented picks which users based upon a lot of different factors so some will see it more than others.
For obvious reasons we are not going to disclose the rules that are used to pick which users are shown the captcha.
We apologise if this causes anyone any issues but it is a necessary precaution for the forum. Please note we did use hCaptcha as you can then use privacy pass to minimise it.
