    has any body tried this?

    hxxp://captcha-assist.com

i saw another thread that got me thinking about this.. so i thought it would help someone out there..

As many people would agree EZAd Poster Deluxe is the supierior posting software out there. a big part of that would be that it was the 1st to be fully automated, by entering the captchas for you..

but if you already have your own system using Automation software.. like Macro Express (very easy for the beginner), Automate 6 (my favorite), or others.

I would definitely look into Captcha-Assist. it's CHEAP. Considering EZAdPoster Deluxe is $397, the Captcha-Assist for CL is $34.99!! say what! and it will take care of the captchas for you!

They have a Captcha-Assist for Craigslist and Photobucket for sale now, so i emailed them about other captchas, and they said the were working on the major ones like GMail, Myspace, Yahoo, and taking requests on others.

Thanks for the share - I need something that I can integrate into my own custom CL posting software.

From the videos that looks like a pretty good OCR - has anyone tested it? Anyone know it if will work with multi-threading?

Why wouldn't it work multi-threaded? I haven't looked at it yet, but even if it isn't thread safe you could probably wrap some kind of an asynch pattern around it, then use a passthrough parameter to synch up the requests with the responses.

Of course, you could avoid all this by just passing them through serially and sticking a monitor around the code that makes the request and gets the response to ensure that it only sends a new request adfter the previous response has already been sent.

What language / environment are you using?

The application is built like an "add on" for your existing bots so would you have to run 100 copies of the thing or startup/kill as the threads need .. just wondering if anyone has tested it..

Now if only these worked with Google captchas, or do they?

there is one exe for each particular captcha, so each .exe is in other words a "Captcha-Assist", and there are different flavors, currently a "Craigslist Captcha-Assist" and a "Photobucket Captcha-Assist" each one is geared only to work for its particular captcha..

i emailed and more are being developed.. Goo*gle (G*mail)..Ya*hoo, etc..

they only work with IE.. currently but i did get them to work with FireFox with the IE extension...

but since they are standalone exe consoles... the thing to do would be to have a Macro to execute it under a certain condition.. like when the cursor is in the Captcha input field.. and after the Captcha-Assist (exe) pops up, executes, and terminates (about 3 seconds altogether) set a "clipboard paste" command since the Captcha-Assist (exe) has already put the captcha result on the windows clipboard for you..
