I'm trying to register on a forum. When I use a CGI proxy (e.g. hidemyass) the Captcha doesn't load. When I use a proxy that you have to input into your browser settings (e.g. 00.00.00.00:8080) the Captcha loads but then there's a new page that asks you why you want to register and this results in failed registrations. I don't think anything you submit here is even read. Using Tor gives the same problem. Another thing I tried was having "remove scripts" checked while using a CGI proxy and that will give me a different sort of Captcha thing (but not actually Captcha) but again I get the second page asking why I want to join and it just results in a failed registration. Everything works fine if I'm using my own IP. So I think somehow this forum is able to identify proxies and isn't allowing registrations through them. It's not something I've never seen before in ten years of proxy use. I'd like to try with these CGI proxies but the Captchas won't load. Any idea why this is or if there's a solution? From what I've seen in a Google search, this proxies not displaying Captchas thing is something of a known issue.
