Can't transfer DNS to Webhost [Hostgator-Namecheap]

Hi, I just purchased a domain name at namecheap and hosting from hostgator. The problem is that I whenever I try to transfer DNS to webhost I recieve this message:

i use hostgator and namecheap and ive never had that problem. Id guess the problem lies with namecheap contact their and support see if they are having problems

Now the message switched to;

Unable to complete request!
A temporary problem has prevented obtaining information about your domain. Please try again after few minutes.

I'm trying to contact their live support.

Turned out they were having an emergency maintenance[FONT=verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif].[/FONT]

Why are people still using NameCheap? NameCheap is buggy. They don't control anything as an Enom Reseller so it takes them longer to fix things. Plus you can't call them. Worse is there support can be really slow.

Use NameSilo - cheaper, better, free privacy and you can lock down your domains with extra security. No gimicks no games no upsells. Took me a couple of minutes to set everything up with them. Their Admin Panels is very clean.

If you think NameCheap will somehow magically protect you from having your domain shut down if you skirt the rules you are mistaken.

HostGator is another pretty run of the mill company. Often overselling shared hosting space.

When I see the combination of NameCheap/HostGator I realize the person using them really doesn't know about what options are available. There are much better hosts as well. And you don't have to look very hard to find them, but you do have to look.
