That's not really the issue.
1 or 2 Articles are OK, but try writing 10 on the same subject.
Either you run out of ideas or spend hours researching them.
Not really viable at $10.

I think you will find it hard to get native writers for $10 per 500 words! Even then the article will never be exactly how you will want it with both creative and grammar.
What i do is outsource to a non native with decent grammar and who actually is a little creative and then i do a final edit of the article .
For articles i place on my websites I find its a lot easier and saves time to outsource then do a final edit than writing the article from scratch.

I haven't bothered to read responses, so there's a good chance this has been said. But the simple answer is to quit being a cheap fuck...
If you are going through a stream of crappy writers I don't even need to inquire, I know you're a nickle and dimer probably hiring off the Content Creation forum on DP.
Good native English writers cost $$$$$ Think about how much time you put into writing good copy or an informative thought out article. Now think how much money you'd make in an 8 hour day paying whatever you pay now. Ya, that's right. That's what I thought...

I posted on Craigslist, just under the general section for 3.00 per article. I got responses and hired a college student that writes 10 articles a day that are well researched and perfect english (better than I could write). I did this in a small city that I live in so if you put it in a big city you should get plenty to choose from.

Put a job for x amount. Tell people to send you samples before you hire. Then hire people one by one. Make sure you also ask them how many they can do per day and if they have a team or not. Usually i don't take Indian writers. Not stereotyping just i see most of them having a lot of grammar mistakes.
Then that's it. FIlter and reuse the same people that give you content that fits your standards.

Great articles are usually not worth the higher price because they'll be snatched anyway. So it boils down to should I pay $20 or $2 for something that will not stay unique nor mine for long.
I use fiverr almost exclusively and always look for copyscape-proof stuff. These authors come and then go away pretty fast though as they inevitably get offered a contract. This makes things harder since there are no reviews.

last post assumes that the content is written first and foremost for the SEs, if it's purely for the enjoyment of the reader or good copy then it's a massive pain in the arse when it gets stolen, especially when people are looking at different websites for the same information or service and they see the same copy!

For articles with good quality, it is better to be ready to spend at least $5 per unique article. If it is a niche that would require some research, $10 per article is better.
I can provide really good article about any niche
for 1$/100word with a good english
