Can't see Disqus backlinks?

Hey,

So i've used some disqus commenting to generate some links on some really big blogs, with my keyword as the name, yet I still can't see the links about 4-5 days later and these sites are big so must be getting crawled a lot.

Anyone else have this kind of experience with disqus?

I guess Disqus have some java-script thing which doesn't allow to display your links in actual source page. Not every Disquis blog is like this but some are..

Most discus are javascript from my experience. So you won't get any backlin this way .

No, you can get backlinks just like other blog platforms....See this page. Comment and the user name(anchored) indexed in google..

No I've got that. I've set it up like that with my own anchor text, the links are there, they just never appear in Market Samurai or Yahoo Site Explorer, therefore they don't count for anything in terms of boosting SERPs.

If you look at that page with js turned off, you can see that the comment links are still there. The problem is that there are various different versions of Disqus comments used by different sites and some of them use javascript to display the comments. With some of them, when you look at the page without js then the links aren't hyperlinks; others don't show the comments at all when js is turned off.

Can't see Disqus backlinks?
