Can't post pictures / videos on Reddit. Text posts work fine.

I'm able to create text posts but I'm not able to post pictures / videos to Reddit. No error message shows up, it looks like it's getting posted but it's not. I can't even see the posts myself.

The account is not shadowbanned (i've checked my profile using incognito window, and all recent comments / text posts show up, I'm also not able to appeal any eventual restrictions / bans).

I've been able to post pictures using this account before, but for the last 2 days I haven't been able to.

I'm on the official app if that matters, tried reinstalling without success.

Anyone knows whats going on?
 
Advertise on BHW
try posting pictures in another subreddit if it disappears there too, it's just a temporary account restriction.

I can't post in any subreddit, not even on my own profile. Do you know how long these restrictions usually last?
 
Did you get any email or inbox message from Reddit about a temporary or permanent ban ? Sometimes they quietly flag accounts, but usually they send some kind of notice.

it might be your low karma. Most of subs requests some level of it to post images/videos
check the rules of subs

No email or inbox message. Can't appeal anything either.

The account has almost 4k karma. Split between post and comment.

hmm
it is some kind of restriction
If you are saying, you couldn't post images anywhere - reach out to the moderators for explanation.

I don't think it's anything subreddit specific since I can't post pictures at all. Not in any subreddit and not even on my own profile.

try to send a ticket to the general customer support of reddit to figure out what is going on

Update: I could successfully upload via web. Not sure what's going on.
 
can share pictures with videos on reddit,there are pages and tool needed to cloak the link for support.
Upload of pictures/videos require hosting on webpage.
 
Some subs ghost media posts silently if your post karma’s too low or the account’s too fresh.
 
Yeah, thats likely a temporary Reddit glitch or soft restriction on media posts. Try posting in a small subreddit if it still disappears, its on the account side.
