Can't outrank a Amazon search page?!

Hi guys, in the last months I faced a Problem, one of my keywords is on spot 2 and on spot 1 is Amazon, not a Product page what you may think yet, no, just an amazon search page. I tried everything from social bookmarks up to high PR Homepage Links. Nothing helped, my Site has a Link Rank of 40 and a an ahref domain rank of 56. Any ideas how to outrank this "Search Page" ?

check how many top 100 results link to amazon.
if your site is not a amazon affiliate then try to spend $100-$1k in adwords.

position #2 is not bad , you can get good traffic by using good Rich snippets.

If you are on position two what else do you want? I would rather spend money on maintaining my position rather than worry about the number 1 spot.

Well the thing is, since Amazon outranks me I get 60% Less Traffic from that keyword, and it isn't really a low traffic keyword so I would like to Bank that other money too

If it's a physical product then list it on Amazon as well to take advantage of those potential sales.

Keep plugging away and be patient, eventually you will take the top spot with continued link building and promotion.

Remember the pareto rule. The higher the fewer - the higher the harder - often expotentialy harder.

No1 will bring you normally 40% more traffic than number 2.
This may be worth it - it may not. Do the math in that niche.
Might be worth spending that effort ranking a different URL for a different product and having a second string to your sales bow. Only you know the answer to that as each niche is different.

Try to add Google authorship + some media (those review stars) . This can help with better CTR and more traffic.

I wouldnt bother going for number 1 position, just make your number 2 standout with an good title and rich snippets, don't spend all of your time and resources on this one keyword. Replicate and get many other keywords ranking on the same spots.

I wouldn't change anything, if it already spot two and has established a title and rank, yu want to stay away from changes, often changing might get you a drop in rankings
