all of a sudden I'm unable to open bhw and shopify with my own ip, using a proxy atm. why so?

BHW uses Cloudflare, but Shopify doesn't appear to. Perhaps you ended up on a blacklist that both services use?

Ips are getting re-used these days, because of the ipv4 shortage we face. It can be that you got served with an ip, which was used before by a spammer, who made it blacklisted. It's pretty easy to find this out, because these ips have results on Google and can be found in different spam databases. Just search for your ip on Google and see if there are any results.

This, or perhaps your PC has some malware on it?

Are you positive, that you have the same ip, what you had a couple hours ago? You don't necessarily recognize an ip change, if there's a sudden connection drop, which was not initiated by you. Anyway, it can be a DNS issue too on your ISP's end, which will get solved with time.

What error do you get when you go to BHW from your IP?

The connection was reset.

Try:

  • Checking the connection
  • Checking the proxy and the firewall
  • Running Windows Network Diagnostics
ERR_CONNECTION_RESET

it is the same ip, just double checked a second ago

Format you pc then.
Yeah, don't do this. LOL.

Close all your browsers, then open your command prompt and run this:

ipconfig /flushdns

Reopen your browsers and see if that fixes it.

If it doesn't, and you're comfortable with doing this, go into your router and set your DNS server address to 8.8.8.8 (make note of what your current DNS server IP is so you can change it back if you want/need to.

then do the flush dns command again and see if that does it. 8.8.8.8 is Google's public DNS server.

This is nothing to do with BHW or Sopify. It's from you ISP. May be a node is down so you can reach some sites. I had to with my own site. I just wait 1day and everything went normal.
