Can't join group

This is likely due to Facebook's algorithm showing geo-relevant content. Use a VPN, change your Facebook language and location, and search with local keywords from the target country to get better results.

Lately I’ve found it really hard to search and join Facebook groups from other countries. No matter what keywords I use, results are mostly from my own country. Has anyone figured out how to reliably find and access groups from abroad?

Facebook prioritizes the country your account is in and will show groups from that country (even if you searched in another language).
Therefore, you need to change the language on your Facebook account (this item is in the settings) and change the account location (a little trick is to use a proxy).
You can experiment and good luck!

fb search got super geo-biased lately… even w/ vpn it still shows local groups first. u guys found any solid way to bypass that? maybe using diff lang keywords or some hidden search param?

You can use VPN to change your IP location to the country you want to find the group, FB will prioritize showing local groups in the VPN area. However, if you use VPN with your main account, you should be careful because it can be considered abnormal behavior and locked.

Try switching your Facebook language to that of the target country, use a VPN to set your location to that region, and search using native keywords.
Also, try joining public pages or local influencers first, group suggestions often follow. Sometimes searching directly through Google with “site:facebook.com” and your keywords can give better results than Fb's own search

Maybe because Facebook always prioritizes IP addresses near that area, my friend.

Please reset your account language and country settings to the country you want to join. Change your region address and search in that country's language.

Did you try using VPN?

try changing your Facebook account language and location to your target country, You can try using a VPN set up to the country you want to target, then search in English + local language if possible.

Hi there! I've noticed this too - Facebook's algorithm heavily prioritizes local content now! Here's how to find international groups: go to Facebook → Search bar → type your keyword + country name (like "marketing USA" or "business UK"). Use English keywords even for non-English countries.

Try switching your Facebook language to English temporarily in Settings → "Language and Region" - this often shows more international results. Also check "Groups" tab specifically after searching, not just general results.

Browse members of international pages in your niche - they often belong to relevant groups you can discover. Use Facebook's "Suggested Groups" feature after joining one international group to find similar ones.

VPN usage might help but isn't guaranteed with Facebook's detection systems.

What specific country/niche groups are you trying to find, and have you tried searching with English keywords plus location names?

You can try use the country’s language or name in keywords, change your Facebook region/language
