Hi guys so I made a wordpress site and put up a 1000 word article on it about 2weeks ago. I just left it and didnt do anything to it. Friday I started to bookmark the site on a couple of sites but still nothing. Now i signed up with google webmaster tools and tried to index it that way but still nothing.

Bing and Yahoo indexed my site about 2 weeks ago. I realy dont know what to do now. Any advice would be much appreciated.

ty in advance.

its natural that your site will not get indexed so easily if it's new...You just need to wait for it and soon it will indexed your site...also try to ping those backlinks you have..

Try to ping it every day.
Also add fresh articles every day and finally submit your site manually as well as your sitemap at bing webmasters tool.

Backlinks, backlinks and few more backlinks. If you just set site up and wait, it wont do much. Join socialmonkee, submit your site to 25 socialbookmarks FREE, when you get your report go to ping o matic and ping all those urls. Submit your site again, ping again - untill your site get indexed (should be done in two days).

I get my site pages indexed in less than 24hrs using google webmaster tool not sure why yours didn't keep trying it will get indexed

Send the domain/article to Linklicious or Lindexed. Then send back links to those social bookmarks.

May be you're not use original article. just search on copyscape. if you find same article there, then spin your original article and then repost it.
use google xml sitemap and submit sitemap through webmaster tools. then bookmark your site url on famous bookmarking sites like digg,stumbleupon,delicios....
And if you have facebook account then post website url on your wall.
then use linklicious free version to ping them.
And finally, google will index you.:D

The best way of getting a site indexed is to use Google webmaster tools.

Are you the only owner of the domain? I had a domain I bought that had been registered before. Couldn't get the site to index for the life of me. I would just check to see domain history to see if it was owned before. Never know, you might have a dead in the water domain.
