Ok I have been doing this on and off for arond 5 years.

I know how to get indexed but its just not happening for 2 of my new sites.

Is google taking longer letely to index sites?

I made 2 wordpress sites on brand new domains.

Hostgator reseller hosting, xml sitemap plugin, robots txt plugin, made sure the wordpress was setup to be visible to all search engines.

Did 5 articles for each site, did all my on page SEO.

Bookmarked both sites with onlywire and submitted rssfeeds with an auto submitter.

Submitted sitemaps to google webmaster tools and installed analytics.

After 5 days the sites are still not indexed. Back a year ago these sites would be indexed in 24 hours, I havent tried to index a new site in a while.

So is something wrong or does it just take like 10 days to get indexed now?

I think Google is taking more time to index sites. Even blogspot blogs may take a week.

Obviously something is different, two of my sites were and are STILL not indexed. I also seen a thread like this a month ago.

do you have the privacy setting changed so it gets indexed.

there is a post about that here.

I forgot to change privacy setting in wordpress for my new site. But it still not indexing and i get some really good backlinks. Something has probably changed in google algorithm.

yea i set privace to make viewable to everyone including search engines

The net is growing daily and if Google do not upgrade their spider machines every month or so they will need more time to crawl all the new coming pages. This is how I understand the problem of delayed indexing.

Edit: Btw I've noticed that if u submit articles or some content of a new site to clipmarks it will be indexed much faster.

I'm seeing 3-5 days with most of my new sites. Just be patient and don't grow too big, too fast.

There is something going on with Google lately. I've been noticing things taking longer not just on new domains, but even new content on old domains. I've been trying to figure out a pattern but as of yet have not. This seems to have happened about the time the put the Hot Trends in the search results and lowered the number to 40.

We might be seeing the start of behavioral targeting that they have been talking about lately.

seems google taking alot of time to index new sites. Its been more than a month and one of my site is not indexed in google till now .

i was debating on posting this, because i'm not sure if it's definitely what ranked my site but the day after i did it i searched my site in google and it showed up updated along with the pages i had put my link on.

anyways, heres what i did. i just signed up to www.imeem.com and made an account, it's a social networking/music site. pretty high alexa ranking (200ish i think) and it's pretty non-abused since it's kinda hard.. but i found this neat little trick (i think)

so you sign up, and make your last name your www.domain.com and start adding friends, making comments, favoriting videos, listening to music (playlists) this is the easiest part about this, you can listen to your favorite music while you do it.

it works because on every page imeem uses it seems, it posts your first + last name (hence your website, FNAME + LNAMES FAV MUSIC, CHANNEL, ECT) and i am not sure if some or if any of the pages are do-follow, but it seemed to have made my site noticed. it was in the same niche/had same keywords (my profile)

i'd post the site but don't want copycats. give it a shot if you haven't an indexed site, and if it works i wouldn't mind a thanks/rep since i didn't even want to post this to begin wth :-D (bye imeem! lol) also excuse my shit typing ive been way 2 busy lately
