I've been doing the follow un-follow method on pinterest, instagram and twitter. Instagram has been good success for me doing it manually im at 450 followers in 4 days, all real and very niche followers.

However on the other two sites all I find are bots, I've followed 280 on pinterest with 0 real people following me. On twitter I followed 250 and have 3 real followers.

How can I fix this?

I personally feel that this method is best for IG, and doesn't have a strong (or very likely) success rate with other platforms.
For twitter I would recommend using a service posted on BHW as I heard from some colleagues that they had good turn outs with it.

Unfortunately I am not too familiar with working with pintrest

On twitter you can do some retweets/mentions. Some people are more likely to follow back if they see you retweeting/liking their stuff. Pinterest is all about catchy pictures most of the time, stuff that makes people smile or get some sort of reaction/emotion. Follow/unfollow isn't great on Pinterest, experiment with different picture types, comment on others' pictures, repin their posts, experiment until you find what's working for your niche as each one is pretty different

You won't get anywhere with following people on Pinterest. Pinterest users get dozens of notifications per day. They don't realize that someone followed them.

Furthermore Pinterest doesn't give a sh*t about follower. Only 10% of my follower on Pinterest even see my posts, yet I receive 100.000s of viewers on my pins every month with only 1500 followers.

There are plenty of tricks to grow your Pinterest account without getting follower, but the most important one is: JOIN A LOT GROUP BOARDS and post great, optimized pins there!
