I've been working on my website since February and it doesn't seems like I"m getting anywhere.

My niche is Debt, I know it's very hard niche but I've found a long tail keyword that has low competition and some traffic but it so far I'm not even getting close to first page.

For now all I have done is link exchange, directory submission, article submission and of course keep adding unique content. Also thought of doing some digg marketing but it's out of my budget right now.

Anyway, Should I just keep adding content, doing link exchange and wait until I get ranked ? or Should I try other methods?

Oh and any recommendation on some specific guy for directory\article submission ? my guy did bad job with this.

Is this a brand new domain? If so, think beach....Mrs. Dunkin...tiny particles of quartz.

Even if you buy domains, google is a certified domain registrar so they have all records and can tell when a domain switches hands anyways.

Lookup the age of the other domains on page 1 for your niche maybe they started in january

When you google the keywords in your domain, where are you showing up?

How many backlinks are you showing?

Have you done any squidoo, hub pages, weebly, blogger blogs, wp blogs, etc to add backlinks focusing on your kw's?

Well some of the domain are much older than mine. I think first position is over 3 years old. But as far as I know when it comes to SEO , domain age doesn't really matter?

Keep on social bookmarking new links to at least 10 social bookmark sites, that should get you more traffic.
Maybe use shareaholic to speed up the process.

I've heard from some others SEO guys that social bookmarkings isn't working anymore, at least not for google.

I'm not even on 10 first pages.

Backlinks ? according to Yahoo Site explorer I have 500+
according to google webmaster tools I have 800+

BTW - anyone tried commenthunt for blog commenting ? Seems like they have good prices (1oo for $19.99) but the problem is that they post comments on general blogs and not on specific choosen niches.

Thanks for help guys.

What kind of websites are listed top10 for your keyword? .gov .edu, wiki's, amazon, ebay, yahoo ?

Join twitter and post useful stuff, and link to it when you add new content. Twitter is a fast traffic tool :D

You have only been going for three months, stick with it and build more backlinks
more content and slap 20-30 on yahoo or adwords, this has always help me.

One way I know works well in this niche is giving away free ebook, the windows one
that loads your website in it. Not sure what it is called. There are so many good ways
right here - all it takes is being consistant and implementing them. Sounds like you have
made a great start, keep going and expand so you get back links from many sources.

But most importantly target where the traffic is for your niche. Sounds stupid but do
a phyc profile on your target visitor. For arguement sake - For someone who want
"fast debt relief" chances are that you will find them looking at way to make a quick
buck. Ways to get instant finance etc

The age of your domain is important. takes a while to establish trust annd escape some of the filtering.
