I feel like I have Adhd lol
You most likely don't. It's a normal thing to get distracted. You need to force yourself to stay on track in the moments you have the urge to do something unproductive. What helped me to stop being distracted was understanding the value that I could create by doing a particular thing.
The more I invested time doing what I do, the more I felt the need to continue on this path. So try to push yourself further enough to reach this sweet spot.
Another thing was to understand the way of how our brain works and how dopamine( a chemical found in our brain) is the universal socket for every single thing we do(from motivation to experiencing pleasure). And I asked myself, what was the point of doing unproductive stuff, if they are only meant to stimulate this neurotransmitter(???). Couldn't I preserve it for something that can actually benefit myself in the long run?
All these things like music, movies, games, although great, they are only meant to bring me via a tunnel. How this tunnel works? Well, think a little bit: when you start watching a movie or playing a game, you're like: wtf is this? Your brain needs to adapt. As you get more familiar with the concepts of that thing, you start to like it( considering that the movie/game is actually good), then you like it and start to think about it all the time.
What happens however if you stop playing/watching it? Your memory starts to decelerate and that thing is no longer the mainstream in your head, hence it was never an important asset.
Since I know how this thing is working, I don't listen any music, play games( well, my PC actually suck as well), watch movies and I try to limit social media interaction as much as I can. Of course, I still watch it occasionally, but not as much as I did before.
I try to create my path to moderate success, so that I can be on my own and it feels great, honestly.
P.S: almost forgot. Confidence. You need to be confident that you can attain your goals.
Take modafinil or other stimulant.
You don't need that.
