Can't find any expired domains using this method - need help..

Hey Guys,

I am finding it pretty hard to find expired domain names. I am currently using the following method but can't find a single expired domain name.

Here is my current method:
1. In scrapebox, I using the following footprints to harvest older sites thats pre 2006:
keywood list -2014 -2013 -2012 -2011 -2010 -2009 -2008 -2007 -2006
keywood blog -2014 -2013 -2012 -2011 -2010 -2009 -2008 -2007 -2006
keywood bloglist -2014 -2013 -2012 -2011 -2010 -2009 -2008 -2007 -2006
keywood blogroll -2014 -2013 -2012 -2011 -2010 -2009 -2008 -2007 -2006

2. After harvesting a massive list of sites, I get the pr for the site list using scrapebox
3. Then I take sites from PR7 unto PR4, and import it to xenu to find broken links that say "no such host"
4. After running it for a day, when I filter for no such host - I hardly get any expired domains.

Can someone please guide me on what I am doing wrong or point me in the right direction. Is there any reliable service on here where I can buy expired domains from.

Well there are many ways to find expired domain but before buying any expired domain just keep in mind that is it worth for you or not.
 
Well, all the sources are good, if you know the exact process -- I am used to monsy, tb solution and few forums as well.
 
Maybe your filters ( -YEAR ) are not enough accurate.
Did you try to choose "Custom date range" on google search ? ( tbs= parameter )

I think it would filter more results.
 
That method is good but don't expect to find hundreds of expired domains that way - it takes hard work and effort to uncover the gems but persistence is the key. Just keep going with what you are doing and you'll come across some winners sooner or later.
 
I think expireddomains.net is the best option. Just do filter according to your requirements. I've been using this from a long time. Its best.
 
I find when searching for expired domains it is a numbers game. The more pages you can crawl with lots of external do follow links the better your results. In fact, try different methods for getting your seed list, don't always use Google.

I built a crawler which can process millions of domains per day and find hundreds of PA 35 + and DA 30+ each week. In fact I am finding so many, I don't have time to check anything below PA 35 or DA 30. So, don't give up!
 
I am not able to provide the crawler code to you as it was originally built for a company I founded and is proprietary. The best advice I can give here is that you will need a very experienced programmer and in order for you to have success you should be comfortable with writing business requirements, testing code, databases, and analyzing data as this is a very data intensive project.

you can find expired domain from expireddomains.net but please check will it be worth or not.
 
expired domains.net work great.it does have all premium options for free.

Here are a couple of more answers for people who sent me questions.

1. Seed lists - There are a couple of options here. You can find large sites which have been on the internet for many years that have lots of external backlinks. Do a deep crawl and you are likely to find some gems here. The other option is to use a more brute force method where it really does not matter what your seed list is. Just crawl 2-3 levels deep and try to hit as many sites as possible. The better crawler you have, the more you can process and the more you find. You might need to crawl 1 million domains to have 100 expired domains with any value.
 
2. I agree with kbklash. Use that site if you can afford it. A quick tip for finding valuable sites is to look for ones where there are one or more bids. This is the best way to see what may be valuable but still be sure and scrutinize these domains carefully as sometimes people bid on things they shouldn't.
 
I've had a bunch of people contacting me regarding access to my domain crawler. Since I know there are lots of questions on how to find quality expired domains, I am going to open up access to a limited group of people through an internship starting in a week or so.

If you are interested, send me the following information and I will provide more details.

1. Are you currently looking for expired domains? If so, what tools are you using (drop lists, scrapebox/xenu, etc)?

2. How are you using your domains (your own pbn, pbn for your seo clients, want to find and sell, etc?)

3. How many hours are you available each week to participate in the internship to find quality domains?

4. How many domains do you want to find? (Don't say as many as possible, be specific)
 
That method was over-saturated a while ago, and I'm sure it's super duper over saturated now.

You're better off just using some sort of expired domain sorter (expireddomains.net etc) it will save you a lot of time.
