Cant do offline with NBA!

I plan to advertise in local newspapers(and nationally after I test), but never blue told me that I could not do it. I want to promote education offers offline as the cpa is pretty high for those. I want to direct people to my landing page then get them to sign up for my newsletter then send them an email. My only concern is having a bunch of leads coming from one area. Should I just start advertising any way or should I try to find an advertiser that is ok with offline promotion?

Really? Neverblue told me it's fine for me to do it as long as it is a paid ad.
 
if you are promoting the offers on your own site, then to hell with neverblue.

they can't tell you where you can and can not promote your own site!

advertise in the paper all you want.
 
Why would they tell you that you can not advertise in a newspaper? Besides if you do it its not like they would know anyway, unless one of their staff happens to see your ad while reading a newpaper and visit it.... Though that chance is very small
 
I actually talked to my AM(Craig) and he said it's fine. And, how will they know your advertising offline anyways as long as it isn't type in traffic directly to aff link?

Its quiet easy if all your traffic is from the same city lol not complicated
 
I highly recommend talking to your account manager first. This is very legit and there shouldn't be a problem. However if you'll be investing in offline advertising, it's best to make sure that your affiliate will not have any problems will all your conversions coming from the same region. Let me know how it goes, I was planning on doing a similar thing in a different niche.

My thoughts exactly. I dont want to invest a lot of money in offline advertising only to find out that I violated their terms and conditions somehow and lose all of my money.
 
screw them. Put a .com link in your ad, and you can rotate between offers (different accounts/advertisers and networks). Chances of them catching you is very remote.

As for the traffic from '' the same region'', just throw in some junk traffic, or mix it with other advertising. Chances of them checking the IPs every now and then, is again, very remote.
 
I kind of want to be on the white hat side of the world with my offline promo's.

Maybe,

but I am gonna be promoting an education offer that requires address and telephone number fields. But I guess I could tell them that I use geographically targeted ppc campaigns?
 
Just don't send them directly to the offer and you will be fine

Yep.

Call your AM and tell him/her what you will be doing. If you don't, the merchant might cry foul because of the geographic clustering. It happens.

Whatever you do, make sure you are using your own landing page or Prosper202 before sending them on to the merchant's sales page. The one big rule is to not publish the merchant's direct link offline.

Hopefully I can find an AM that will allow offline traffic. Im just going to tell them that as part of my advertising strategy I am going to be advertising my site offline as one of my traffic sources, and that they may see geographic clusters of leads.
 
if they are acting so fussy, simply just find another network...
 
You have two options:
1) Change affiliate network (recommended)
2) Advertise in all states at the same time (will require higher ad budget)
 
Dont risk it, change to a network that accepts offline advertising. xy7.com has a few edu offers.
 
My AM from Neverblue (Roman) seems pretty cool, I've yet to ask him about offline advertising directly to offer pages. I did a Facebook campaign in Nov-early Dec relating to christmas, that was going directly to the aff link (through a domain) and Neverblue didn't have any problems with that... the campaign didn't do very well, but that wasn't Neverblue's fault. :)

Ask them what you'd need to do for them to be ok with you doing offline advertising, they may only require a landing page.
