can't comment in facebook groups?

Check your FB notification, you may be restricted from commenting in the group. You should stop commenting in the group for a few days so FB can consider removing the restriction.

It sounds like you might be facing a temporary restriction, especially if you’re unable to comment right after the restriction ends. Facebook hasn’t officially confirmed any recent updates, but it’s possible that their algorithm is flagging your account for certain behaviors.

Sometimes some users and FB account admins encounter problems not being able to comment in FB groups, even if they can comment elsewhere, this problem is especially common when using proxies or automated management tools

Yes, we've seen this issue too recently. Seems like Meta is tightening behavior checks, especially for group interactions. You might want to test commenting in smaller groups first or rotate profiles with longer warm-up cycles.

I had the same problem a few days ago but now I can comment in groups normally probably because of Facebook update

When did you notice that you could comment normally again? Today? Yesterday? I was still having the same issues yesterday — the author of the post gets a 24-hour restriction after I comment on my own post.

Has anyone experienced the issue of not being able to comment in Facebook groups over the past few days? We're using proxies, warmed-up profiles, and have mediaConnectedPeers disabled... We can comment everywhere else, just not in Facebook groups. Is anyone else having the same issue?

Great Q @pwnerx14 !
Yeah, you're not alone—this seems to be a recent silent restriction Meta’s rolling out. We’ve seen the same on multiple setups: warmed, clean profiles, good proxies, even mobile logins… still blocked from group comments.

It’s likely a trust flag on group activity specifically. Some say it's linked to FB tightening spam filters post-July update, especially for accounts that post similar content across groups.

We’re testing aged, ID-verified USA profiles now, and those seem to hold better. If you're stuck, might be worth switching profile types. Happy to share test results via DM.

Yep, same issue here on multiple profiles. Looks like FB is silently restricting group interactions - even on aged, clean accounts. Might be part of their recent spam filtering updates.
We’re testing delays + post engagement first before commenting. Let’s see if that helps. Will update if anything changes.

Please contact the support department to find out the cause. In some ways, chatting with the team will quickly resolve this issue.

Facebook cracks down hard on duplicate accounts now. If you create a new one from the same device/IP as your first, their system flags it instantly. The video verification is their way of checking if you're real or a bot.

To avoid this:

  • Use a different device (or factory reset your old one)
  • Switch to mobile data or a clean residential IP
  • Wait a few days between creating accounts
If you're tired of verification hassles, we can hook you up with aged, pre-verified accounts that skip these headaches. They're already warmed up and way less likely to trigger FB's alarms.

Your profile may be banned in the group, leading to the problem that your proxy is also restricted, try changing to a new proxy, and use the new profile to log in.

If it's comments and only on facebook groups, it's likely you got banned from commenting. That's usually due to a violation of community guidelines, spam related flags, or I believe Admin discretion. Should be temporary though.

We're having the same issue — the account is still active, just can't comment in groups.
It's possible that Facebook is testing a new filter to control behavior in groups, especially with proxy accounts.

I ran into the exact same thing over the last week—profiles could post anywhere except in groups. It turned out to be Facebook tightening its anti-spam filters on group posts (even warmed-up accounts started getting throttled). A couple of things helped me work around it:
First, I tried logging in via a real browser session (no anti-detect tooling) just to confirm it wasn’t my scripts or proxies. Sure enough, the same profiles could comment normally there, which told me the issue was Facebook flagging those fingerprinted sessions as “bot-like” for group interactions specifically.

Next, I dialed back my daily group comments to single digits and added random short delays between actions. That slow-drip approach let me post again without triggering the spam block. I also re-enabled mediaConnectedPeers and cleared cache/cookies in each profile—oddly, reactivating that setting seemed to restore normal comment behavior after a few hours.

At the group level, Facebook will have stricter moderation to prevent spam, repetitive activities may be restricted

I think this is for Facebook system error is updating new version or there is some problem you can wear it for a while it will work normally

Thank you for your reply. We're doing sock puppeting with 3 different profiles in a Facebook group. On one device, we have 3 separate Mozilla profiles, each with its own Facebook account on its own proxy. On each profile, we've set media.peerconnection.enabled to false.
So, if we set media.peerconnection.enabled to true, should everything be fine?
Do you know if enabling media.peerconnection could be a problem?
Could Facebook detect that all 3 profiles are on the same device are "linked" even though each one uses a different proxy?

What do you think- would switching the profiles to different proxies while keeping the cookies help?
