Can't add my skype

Since my skype username has a colon : in it (live:lynnais), the system wont accept it. it says "You entered an invalid Skype name."
this is bug i guess because skype names can contain colons and maybe other special characters.

Get rid of the 'live:' bit.

No, my username is live:lynnais, not lynnais, lynnais is someone else username.
This is a new thing at skype when you register they append "live:" to the name you choose, that's all.

We are working on this, consider using another name temporarily if possible.

to know its on the list.

On the bright side we get spammed less OP!

Skypenames can't contain :'s we verify Skype names against current Skype requirements.

From Skype
"What is my Skype Name?
Your Skype Name is your unique username for Skype. It must be between 6-32 characters, start with a letter and contain only letters and numbers (no spaces or special characters)."

The SKYPE name you're trying to enter live:lynnais isn't a valid Skype name and therefore won't be accepted. It appears to be a MS live not a SKYPE name. Whilst Microsoft may now own Skype - they are screwing it up (personal opinion).

People will still be able to find you just fine on Skype search.
