    Hello,

I cannot view this site from home. It works perfectly in the office. I get a warning saying that my ip is banned. I have not done anything nasty nor have I received any infraction or notification for the same.

I submitted about 10-15 messages but of no avail. Can the admins help? I can send my ip address if you want. The last two octets of my ip are dynamic.

    Best Regards,
    - BH Freak

'...For a couple of weeks a while back, I was unable to log onto BHW unless I went through a proxy and then suddenly, it all changed and has been 'normal' until about 30 minutes ago when my IP provider advised me that there was an interruption in the Internet speed due to a problem they were working on.

Since supposedly solving the problem, I am now back to only being able to access through a proxy. I have tried to open BHW with seven different browsers and cannot get in. All other websites seem o.k.

I presume this is an IP problem and I am about to contact them, or is it coming from the BHW servers?...I don't know, but you are not alone Black Hat Freak.

I get a message that my ip is banned by the admin. It means that it comes from BHW. They must have blocked my ISP or something. I have no clue.

When I am logged in and then go to another website and then come back to BHW, it doesnt load up properly until I click the banner at the top of the page.

This happened to me yesterday too. Delete your cookies and log back it. That fixed it for me.

I sometimes have issues in FF, but if I clear my cookies and cache it all clears up.

    Hope that helps,

If you guys have any firefox tweaks, or speed tweaks of any kind that increase your browser's max connections, the server may temp-ban your IP, as it mistakenly thinks you may be trying to DDoS it. It's a little over-agressive, yes, but it's effective. We're working to improve it. If your IP has been banned for more than 24 hours, please send me a PM from another connection, if you have one, and I'll look into it.

And to avoid it in the future, disable any browser speed tweaks you may have installed while browsing this site.

I think this is a problem to a plugin we have running on the server. I'm hoping we'll be able to dump it once we move to the new server next week.

    Please bare with us.

I don't think it's a problem with the server. The same thing happens to me probably once or twice a day visiting almost any site that requires login. Come to think of it, I think it might be an issue with Firefox 3.0. Simply clicking refresh once or twice fixes the problem.
