Hi, I'm trying to create accounts on Instagram from the US that are phone verified, I'm using a residential proxy from smartproxy.com + getsmscode.com for the SMS codes.

All seems to work fine but just right after I input the SMS code I got this message: "The ip address you are using has been flagged as an open proxy", the IPs are really good quality as I can do any action I want; login, follow, unfollow, comment, like, dm... except sign up.

I also made sure there are no IP leaks via WebRTC.

I'm clueless at this point, I'd greatly appreciate if anyone could point me in the right direction,

Thank you!

Well, the message is there. It's nothing to do with the browser, but your IP has been flagged.

Smartproxy is used by API reggers, which run 5,000 simultaneous threads constantly registering any available IP that's left on the pool that works for creation.

I recommend looking for a smaller residential service, or try some datacenters out if you have IPV6/IPV4 proxy creation scripts.

It is what they say. Flagged IP. Get another IP.

Have you checked whatleaks.com

check what it tells about your ip
https://www.ip2location.com/demosee Usage Type, Anonymous Proxy, Proxy Type etc

Better look for other providers, and ask for a trial

Thank you all.

I did try a different service but the result was the same.

This is what I did: I ran it in incognito mode using Proxy SwitchyOmega + WebRTC Network Limiter and also cleaned cache and cookies just in case, and... no luck :(
Maybe I still have some footprints that IG is detecting...

If you get the same message as in the screenshot above, it means that the IP was already flagged by IG and it isn't your fault.

Anyway, as one more thing to try, you can also set your device's locale to reflect the proxy's geo (timezone, lang, etc).

What other services do you recommend for USA either private or shared proxies? I’d prefer a service with API, but at this point very open to anything.

Anyone with recommendations?

All of SmartProxy's IPs are flagged because they're residential. Residential are easy to track and compile flagged lists of. You need mobile proxies. Remember - mobile IPs won't be flagged because everybody who drives by the cell tower and temporarily uses the IP needs to be able to use IG without issue. Alternatively, all mobile proxies are flagged against't SMTP use.

You're totally right, but mobile proxy cell towers do have imposed creation limits. If you're going that route, its best to get a mob proxy with multiple geographicaly locations spreaded out all across the world, and unfortunately, that doesn't exist (from what I've seen).

You have to understand if you create an account via a desktop browser, the success rate would be significantly less compared to the native mobile app.
Quality IP is important, but the way you create an account matters much more.
