What if I created two pages on my website; one with the keyword "Seiko watch" and the other with the keyword "Seiko watch Submariner. Would there be any negative SEO impact?

It's fine to have pages for "Seiko watch" and "Seiko watch Submariner" as long as the content is different and each page has a clear purpose. Otherwise, it may cause keyword cannibalization and confuse search engines, affecting rankings.

Both are possible, as long as the content and purpose of each page are different and clear

It’s like having a category and subcategory/products. That’s totally fine as long as you don’t duplicate your content or write about exactly the same things. I would also suggest creating internal links between them with the relevant anchors.

Creating two pages with similar keywords, like 'Seiko watch' and 'Seiko watch Submariner,' could lead to keyword cannibalization. This happens when multiple pages compete for the same keyword, confusing search engines and diluting rankings for both pages.

For example,
The 'Seiko watch' page should focus on a general overview of Seiko watches.
The 'Seiko watch Submariner' page should provide specific details about that model only.

Make sure,
Use Internal Linking: Connect both pages to help Google understand their relationship and how they complement each other.
Ensure Unique Content: Each page should have unique content that focuses only on its specific topic.

If done correctly, having both pages with different goals can improve your site’s SEO without any issues. Just make sure each page has unique information.

Cannibalization happens when you make 2 pages explicitly about SEIKO WATCH. What you wrote is semantical content. You make a page for Seiko Watches, and then list different Seiko "mods".

If "Seiko watch" is more general and "Seiko watch Submariner" dives into that specific model, you're fine.
