Cannabis related niche

I have been thinking about this idea for a while now. I would like to know if anyone has done this niche. I was thinking about creating a wordpress and typing articles related to the niche along with adding a few select affiliate banners on the site. Does anyone have experience with this niche? I need to start making money and cannabis is a topic that is of a great interest of mine.

well, marijuana smokers are most of the time high and blazed out of their mind. if this is your target audience, how would you expect them to convert and buy product? they are most likely blazed while surfing the web so their short term memory is not acute. but anyway, this is all just arm chair speculation, do what you must

That's a bit of a silly comment tbh, marijuana is a topic of interest right now and there's monetizable goods such as grinders etc. and topics such as marijuana for health etc. I'm sure are popular.
I don't have any experience though.

You can be surprised how much influence can targeted marketing have on marijuana consumers or even stoned individuals. If you hit the right AD in a way that they will understand than they will buy anything.
 
It's a huge market, but I would not use banners, instead write reviews on cannabis related stuff, like bongs, vaporizers, etc and place your affiliate links to those products, straight in the articles.

This way you can rank on buyer keywords an monetize them.
 
I have a Cannabis News & Documentaries Website which i monetized with Mantis Ad Network, so far they paid on the first of each month and i get a CPC of around 0,5$, the CTR is pretty bad tho compared to adsense.
 
Rich stoners are dropping $200-1000 on rigs and accessories all day long.

MJ is a $7 billion industry in the US. With some effort you can find what they are searching for and buying online.

It comes with higher fees and more regulations for many things like social media and sometimes adsense. If done right the market is huge and the community is very supportive.
 
I would like to believe that this is a profitable niche because I have clients who regularly order news articles and other forms of content in this niche. I don't think it makes sense for them to spend 4 digits worth of monthly content if they're only losing, if not breaking even, on their investment in content.
 
Sold in that niche before. Works as well as any other niche. My tip is go affiliate with expensive vendors. Vaporizers, high end glass, etc. More money there than selling $2 grinders.
 
I have a site in weed niche and it converts quite well, we sell cannabis seeds from big companies, we do order them from Holland. Although smoking or grow marijuana in our country it is strictly forbidden. We take payments by bank transfer, we delivery to near metro station, so people feel safe. BTW selling seeds not against the law, it could be easy food for your parrot, also you can sell equipment to grow hydroponic, as well this technic's uses many farmers, selling equipment and fertilizers absolutely legal

Mantis Ads is the top weed network for CPC and their pay is shit. Adsense does not allow weed sites. This is a really hard niche to make money in because of the illegality of weed in most areas.

Have you done keyword research? It's very competitive.

What do you want to talk about?
With legalization a lot of people are coming into this niche and it's becoming increasingly harder to compete.
