I run a cannabis delivery service in Canada and, although cannabis is legal in many places now, ad networks all seem to prohibit advertising cannabis related products and services.

Does anyone know of any advertising networks/platforms that allow cannabis related ads?

Only if you go direct to popular sites that rank on google search for related keywords, if not, then you have to cloak on Google. FB does not really have a good ROI for your campaigns.

look towards systems that sell in-page traffic. More often than not, they are loyal to CBDs

There are very few places where this is allowed. But I run cannabis ads on Facebook, bypassing moderation, and everything works stably and perfectly. This is probably the only way out.

It is a common frustration for legal cannabis businesses in Canada. While the product is federally legal, the "Big Three" (Google, Meta, and TikTok) still treat cannabis under their global policies, which often categorize it alongside illegal drugs or "restricted substances."

However, there are specialized Cannabis Ad Networks (often called endemic networks) that have built a workaround by partnering directly with thousands of "cannabis-friendly" websites and mainstream publishers that allow age-gated ads.

Often have more relaxed policies on CBD compared to mainstream platforms

Use cannabis-focused networks like Traffic Roots or Mantis Ads, mainstream platforms still mostly block it.

Fb can work for canabis or try to see what relevant websites rank in your niche and make collaborations with them

try mantis or trafficroots bro, google and fb are too strict for this stuff.

Most big ad networks block cannabis stuff, you gotta look at niche adult/cbd/cannabis friendly networks and local SEO/organic first, legit options are limited but exist in smaller ad networks tailored for cannabis marketing.

try weedmaps leafly and some local cannabis directories they allow listing and promo for delivery services in canada.

look into Mantis or TrafficRoots, they specialize in cannabis ads and don't care about the usual restrictions.

Most major ad networks like Google, Meta (Facebook/Instagram), and TikTok still restrict cannabis promotion — even in Canada.

However, these platforms are known to allow cannabis advertising (with restrictions and compliance requirements):

  • Mantis Ad Network – Cannabis‑focused network
  • Traffic Roots – Works with dispensaries & delivery
  • Weedmaps – Listings + paid promotion
  • Leafly – Featured listings & ads
  • MJLink – B2B exposure
  • Native ad networks like Taboola (case‑by‑case approval)

You’ll usually need:
• Age‑gating (19+ in most provinces)
• Geo‑targeting within legal provinces
• No health claims
• Compliance with Health Canada regulations

Leafly and Weedmaps have their own ad platforms built specifically for cannabis businesses. Traffic Roots is another ad network that accepts cannabis advertisers, worth checking out.

If you have the official documents required to sell these products in Canada, you can submit them to verify your business on Facebook, and you may be allowed to run ads officially on the platform. However, there are many conditions you must follow in your ads, as this niche is highly restricted. Otherwise, I think promoting through free traffic on Instagram and TikTok Shorts would work well for you, but of course, this requires coming up with creative ideas for videos and making sure your potential customers like them

Cannabis advertising is heavily restricted even in legal markets like Canada, so most major platforms (Meta, TikTok, etc.) still prohibit it. Some options include compliant programmatic networks, cannabis-friendly DSPs, or limited pilots like Google Search (for licensed operators only). In practice, many businesses rely on SEO, content, and compliant display/native ads rather than traditional paid social.

Yeah, it’s tricky. Most big networks block it. Try cannabis-specific ad networks like Mantis, TrafficRoots, or MassRoots, and some programmatic networks let cannabis ads in legal regions. Socials usually block it, so stick to niche networks.

ya bro most big platforms dont allow it, even if legal
best option is use cannabis ad networks, native ads, or adult traffic sources, also try direct deals with weed blogs/sites
keep ads soft (education/brand) not direct selling or they get banned
