It is a silly question but I went to this workshop last Friday and the guy was offering corporate videos. What he said was ?youtube can read your videos just like a paragraph of text and extracts the keywords from the video?. I have never heard anything like that. In fact I was always thinking flash and videos aren?t that SEO friendly. Was he saying all that just because he wanted to sell his service or it is actually true? I feel like a stupid now!

Sounds like he's putting it in lay mans terms for the everyday, non tech-savvy user. Youtube does do this in a way, as it can map out the structure of audio/video and compare to others in the database.
Highly doubt he meant it as it sounded, should have called him on it

Youtube actually read the video name, authorship details, copyright details and descriptions. He might mean that
